I have a 2002 Chevrolet Tracker, which was inherited from Subaru, who inherited it from the original GEO Tracker, I think. It has been under a tarp for the past five years because the bracket that holds the fabric top broke, and I couldn't find a replacement. Since I didn't need it, and it's not a good winter car, I let it sit because it is far too light to go through the snow (it will get stuck on ice, sometimes, even with studded tires). I did start it up now and then since it runs great, but I haven't driven it for five years except to back it up and go forward in the driveway occasionally. Anyhow, we're going to let our leased car go when the lease is up to save some money, and my wife was able to find someone who could find the part I needed. He said only one was available in the country, other than 3D-printed ones that were three times as expensive. Anyhow, the top is back on, and I re-registered it today. All that is left is the inspection sticker, which should pass since I also had a few other things repaired on it, which had rusted over the past five years. I doubt they'll even look at it; he didn't even leave the office the last time I had a car inspected there.
Ok , ok so your talking about a vehicle, I've listened to so much conspiracy lately I thought it was a tracking device, lol.
Not only that, but it sounds good. I drove it back from where it was fixed, a distance of about 12 miles.
I imagine it brings back memories. Kinda of like visiting a prior residence would where no one changed the decor.
It's anything but a showroom model, but that's one of the things I like about it. Aside from the fact that it's really not that good in mud or snow, it's a little like a Utility ATV in that it is small enough to fit places where other cars won't, and mine is thrashed enough that getting a scratch on it wouldn't make me cry.
So it's not 4WD? I read a little on the web and every one I saw was 4WD. Don't know if that's standard or an option.
I always wanted one of those little Trackers, even back when they were made by Geo. My daughter had one, but hers was not the short one with the removable top, it was the regular one, and it was an awesome little vehicle. The closest I have ever come was a Kia Sportage with the removable top, and I just loved that little vehicle. It broke my heart when I had to sell it, but Bobby was working on building things, and he could not haul building materials in the Sportage, so I sold it and got a minivan that worked better. I would love to have another one, it was a perfect size vehicle for me, and so easy to drive. Mine was not a 4x4, either, but it didn’t need to be here in Alabama. If the weather was bad, i didn’t go anywhere anyway.
I s I still have Trump gas ( from 5 years ago) in my 96 truck. It works ok. I wanted it to be a gas storage tank in case Biden won. I wanted to syphon out the gas but it has protection from that. I put in non ethanol gas with stabilizer in it as I hardly ever use it to use up 20 gallons.
