They're OK, but I don't like the reduced capacity or the lack of a buttstock, so you can't shoulder it. And any long gun requires two hands to operate it & even though these are shorter & more compact shotguns, they're still longer than a handgun & slower to swing into action, especially in the confines of a house. As for reloading, I can reload my Glock in 1.5 seconds. Not possible with a shotgun. In my opinion, a shotgun will do everything better than a handgun, except be there when you need it.
When I saw the picture before the video, I thought I would probably break my wrist. But the idea is good if you can brace it.
I am surprised they are legal. After all, the entire Ruby Ridge debacle and the FBI killing a set-up guy's wife was over a shotgun that was an inch shorter than 18 inches or something.
If I'm using a shotgun for home defense (and its a good choice for that), I want one where the intruder can hear me rack the slide. Perhaps that sound might be sufficient. I didn't watch the vid, but I imagine the pattern on that is rather large...1 pellet in the bad guy, and 44 pellets in your walls, unless you get uncomfortably close.
Almost looks like the weapon Steve McQueen used in Wanted Dead Or Alive tv show. If we ever need a weapon for self-defense, both our .380 and 9mm would do the trick.
