Been trying to get a pry bar to get hubby out of his den chair to do something. I was proud of him of taking care of the leaves and fall trimming but we never DO anything lately. I almost forgot, but he didn't, that I bought tickets on a Lamers bus tour to see Daniel O'Connor--an Irish tenor Dave likes-- at the Crystal Grand Theater in Wisconsin Dells, for yesterday. Old style music ranging from Charlie Pride and Elvis, to Irish ballads. Quite enjoyable. Too bad he invited me (and the audience) to sing along.
You're not wrong Marie. When I was much younger and Adam was a boy, I was working in London, I went to some show or other and Robert was on the bill, he sang that song and brought the house down. Here he is again. Robert Goulet "On A Clear Day" on The Ed Sullivan Show
Most of my concerts were rock, 1990 I did take the 4 oldest grands to Fox Theater in Atlanta to see Sound of Music, Marie Osmond did a great job singing the songs from the movie, surprised she could perform opera type notes. Other than her I went to see Mitzi Gainer perform in Atlanta, Ga at The Civic Center id I recall.
Tony, Liza rode around with my friend and I one evening, we met her at Underground Atlanta in the mid 70s, guess they were what we called 'slumming' when the affluent for a short spell hung with us regulars. Atlanta was a hot spot back then for all kinds of celebrities.
