I don't know about the autonomic nervous systems data he speaks about, but I know the breathing technique does work to lower the BP. I have always attributed it to lowering the stress in your body. Do this while waiting in the office for your appointment and see if it helps the numbers. Also, I have found the machine-read BP to always read higher than the manual.

Today I skipped Losartan to see if I feel better and I do feel better.
Positive effect is it really did help my urine flow. Today my BP was 146-83-70. So I will get back on it tomorrow and see if it still has negative side effect.

I have heard good things about Bergamot. Not bergamont. for blood pressure. I have not used it because my family has low blood pressure. But you might do some research just in case.

Thank you Mary I will research it tomorrow. We've been so busy cleaning up after the storm I haven't felt much like studying. Although, I do need to soon.

Still taking a half 25 mg losartan each day, and it seems to be keeping me in range, so I'm gonna stay at it, until it's not. :)

Getting old sure isn't for sissies, this BP med losartan is making both of us tired and joints ache.
So today I'm drinking watered down coffee to see if that helps. Less than half coffee I usually drink. Will shorten my walk considerably.

Didn't take the losartan last night, now BP is now 176-92-68, so I took half 25mg a few minutes ago. :( It makes me feel bad, but not as bad as another stroke, heart stent # 3 or worse, kidney damage.
I've tried natural remedies, they haven't worked so far.

The Restore should be here today, I can't take the losartan, it drains me plus some side effects can be as bad as the high bp.
I cut coffee in half yesterday, watching salt intake, and whatever else I can do.
I can't sit around worn out. I need my walks and wood clearing. BP med makes me feel really bad, but I took it all week so I need a natural remedy. Alsos. slowed down on the cigarettes.

Sorry you are having issues @Marie Mallery . I assume you have spoken with your provider about your problems.

Thanks Don, but no our provider retired last year. But I did go to er about 10 months ago, they did blood work, x-ray on lungs, 'which always scares the heck out of me', said lungs are clear, blood work all good. Had that cold going around.
Hard to get appointment with new doc now., my dentist can't fill my tooth till mid January 2025.
