Our Christmas pageant was held last night under Covid restrictions it was held in-the Adelaide city Oval restricting the crowds to 35.000 ( oval holds 55.000 apparently it’s been voted the best pageant in Australia so Aussies normally put up their Christmas tree after the pageant so I must change my avatar to a merry one No we didn’t apply for a ticket it’s normally a street parade… We watched it on TV that were pretty lucky to get through the night without the heavy rain that was forecast ..the oval is in-the city
Is is like a stadium …..now days it’s not covered YET but there’s talk of putting a roof on it as since it was upgraded about 10 years ago , we had big name singers / groups coming here to preform ( prior to Covid ) that used the oval like Rolling Stones ect @Louise Miller
Interesting article in the Sunday Mail newspaper lift out section yesterday about Thanksgiving celebrations
Some of you may be familiar with Townsend's. They have popularized this duo--Jim's Red Pants--who specialize in old traditional music and instruments. Here is a link to the holiday concert. It is about an hour long and quite unusual:
I just copied the URL and pasted it. @John Brunner is the expert at this, so if you have trouble, put the question his way.
As @Don Alaska said, just paste the URL (web link) in your comment, and the system automatically converts it to a video. You Tube "shorts" are a little more complicated, but when I see folks paste the URLs, I usually come by and embed them.
Oh thanks …but has the issue with posting pictures been resolved …that’s what I sorta meant @John Brunner
