Bad day a black rock, cleaning out the trunk of my car I came across stuff I put in there from the house right after the fire, it was kind of fun like a treasure hunt. After about 10 minutes a gust of wind sent the trunk door slamming down. Not to worry I stopped the trunk door with my head. It took a split second for me to realize what happened. I went inside my wife said what happened, I said I was using my head, as she went to get an ice pack and something to clean the blood. I just took some Advil for the headache. I have a lump, which will come in handy when I wear a cap, it will keep it from blowing off. By the way I did take precaution knowing the trunk door is not supported, I wegded my cane from the inside of the trunk to a protrusion. I though it was good enough to hold, I guess not? Maybe the car is pissed because I want to junk it. Headache is progressively getting worse, my neck is hurting also. I thought it would knock some sence into me, not a chance.
@Tony Page you need to be more careful around that car. It is out to get you now that it knows you want to send her to the junkyard.
LOL, yes see mine. Tony, we become dangerous to our health with age. Sad that young man didn't help you and the wife with the truck lid.
Didn't you know props are dangerous, I think of this when I lean over to support myself on a small tree, that's another good example of a bad idea.
No, it's a 2011 Chrysler Sebring. How do you make a small fortune with this car? You start with a large fortune.
I'm hoping I didn't catch the 5th disease. I'm feeling extra achy today and extra tired. I finished cleaning out the trunk of the car this morning, I just have to do the inside glove compartment and door pockets. The car hasn't started since Saturday morning it turns over with 1 slow turn. I tried jumping it, no good. The shed ramp is in.It's almost completely painted. The fellow I hired to do this work I'm very happy with. He might be back this afternoon to finish the painting. He told me he loves farming, and his dream is to buy a farm out east. I showed him the plot I used to have my vegetable garden in. I said, "Now I do container gardening. I'm too old to work the plot." he offered to help me and said he wouldn't take any of the Harvest. I said if you work it, we will share the produce. I doubt anything will come of it because I'm really not up to doing anything physical. It was a nice gesture. To be honest it's getting on my nerves not feeling 100%. I think I'm just tired. Maybe I'll take a nap.
It's my favorite time of the year for celebrating with family. Every year, I look forward to playing my favorite Christmas songs. I've been learning how to stream stations that carry Christmas music 24/7. However, it's their mix, not mine. I enjoy Christmas music so much I became a fanatic with buying Christmas music cd's. I'm hoping someday to find my Christmas CD organizer book, I had about 150 Christmas CDs in it alphabetized by the artist last name, mixed CDs we're at the end of the book. After the fire, when we redid the living room, we purchased an entertainment center with a phony fireplace (electric). Last year, with the house decorated for Christmas, I sat in front of the fireplace, listening to the music was one of my favorite things. My wife laughs when I bring up that I did the same thing years ago with a 5&10c store cardboard fireplace it had a bulb with a propeller on top, position behind the cardboard flames, the propeller would turn from the heat of the bulb, the reflection on the back of the fireplace was suppose to simulate flames. It proves atmosphere is what you make it.
If you have not already done so, you might try Spotify. It has a free and a premium version, and I just have the free version. You can put in the name of songs you like and favorite artists, and create your own playlists; so you could have a Christmas playlist that has as many songs on it as you want to add onto the list. I think that with the free version, it just does “shuffle” which is fine with me anyway, and you never know in what order the songs will play.
We all should share our favorite songs on the thread "Your Favorite Christmas Song". I added some songs to it today, enjoy.
A tractor trailer knocked over a pole across the street from my house. His truck caught the wires on the pole, he didn't realize it and pulled the pole down. We heard the pole fall, and my daughter saw the power line strung across the road immediately called emergency. Fortunately we didn't lose power. My daughter and our neighbor put trash cans across the road to prevent cars from driving over the power lines. The road is now blocked by the fire and police depts. The power company told my daughter there will be power outages because of the repairs that have to be done, but we shouldn't be affected. I hope not, they were in the middle of making apple and pumpkin pies for Thanksgiving. Losing power for a holiday would be horrible.
