9 years ago in Feb was in Veges. Took a road trip to the Grand cayon. At the Hoover dam the bus was inspected by (Border?)Guards. It was also announced that they was an hour time diffrence between Nevada and Arizona.(Except on Indian lands) Did not see the GC as visabilty was about 50 yards and snowing
Arizona and Hawaii still abstain from DST. There used to be more states that did not change their clocks, but over time [pun intended] they relented. If there were guards at the Hoover Dam, I would imagine that they were there for security, checking for explosives...but I have no first-hand knowledge.
Then you will have to come back. The GC is amazing anyway you can see it. And it changes with every time of day.
@Joe Riley , that was beautiful. They matched the music to the video perfectly. Especially at the end when the crescendo matched the lightening.
Fine with me. Even though I'm not on a strict schedule, it's still disruptive (but I don't know why.) I saw one suggestion to adjust the time 1/2 hour and leave it there to make everyone (DST and Standard time folks) happy.
The main part of the population that should be consulted are the dairy farmers and such. We regular folks can adjust to whatever changes are made but ya can’t tell a cow she has to wait an hour or show up an hour earlier to be milked. Yeah, I know that sounds funky but a dairy farmer adjusts all of his personal scheduling according to the needs of his animals and not according to what the church, bank, feed lots, little Johnny’s school etc tell him it is. But yup, set the derned time and leave it alone from then on.
