Sort of my point for keeping one foot in the real world. My Doctor decided I had switched or died. Unless I contacted him, I and my records would be dropped. I called and told his nurse, he knows that just because I refuse to come in regularly, without symptoms, does not mean I have died. I still want him to be available. Of course, he is getting a bit old.
I understand Israel is now using AI to select targets for attack. Good or bad, it makes it easier but may not factor human presence as a factor. Reportedly, it was also used in the disabling of Hezbollah. I wonder if the U.S. and China are using it to attack each other under the table?
Most of the time, I agree, but Grok from X seems pretty good as far as not being tied to liberal attitudes and answers. However, their AI pictures can be kind of strange. I actually like using the Co-pilot AI that comes with Bing of I am just asking some kind of health or non-political kind of questions. I can ask what foods have copper (as an example), and then it will tell me which foods and how much each one has. And you can go on from there with other related questions and Co-Pilot will keep giving you information. It is actually easier than just doing a search for the same information because you get the exact information you are looking for and not websites with lots of advertising.
I do not think so; but I have used Bing for several years now, ever since @Ken Anderson recommended it back t when you got rewards points for using Bing. When I open the Bing browser, then it shows the co-pilot icon at the bottom of the page, so I think that all you would have to do is open the Bing website and it would be there to use.
DuckDuckGo has incorporated an AI summary (DuckAssist) on the Search Results screen. It's rather impressive how fast it cobbles together the summary.
This has been an issue since video/photos and audio were first digitized. We can no longer trust our lying eyes...or ears. This thread could just as easily be title "Dangers of Digitization."
You are totally correct, @John Brunner ! They can make any kind of picture and make it look real when they have a sophisticated AI program , and especially if it is of a prominent person that there are pictures of. I remember seeing all the ones of police chasing down President Trump, or of him in prison clothing. The can do this with videos as well, and I have seen some where they are showing a video of a person speaking, and there is actually another person animating the video. I remember reading and seeing pictures that some of the photos of people trying to escape in Ukraine (in the legacy media) were actually from a movie, and it shows that same scene and Sadi which movie it was. Even before AI, this kind of thing was happening, with newscasters using green rooms to pretend to be in a war zone somewhere.
