Off the cancer topic, but when I came across this video, I immediately thought of @Beth Gallagher. It is quite humorous behind the overall topic. Gout the disease of kings (or perhaps queens in your case)
I've been using mustard for cramps for years. I bought a box of the little packets that they hand out in fast food places I keep a few packets on my nightstand because I get a lot of cramps while sleeping.
Yes; it's called "cold capping" and can be quite expensive, plus some treatment facilities don't want to be bothered with it. I have heard that it is really uncomfortable and not very effective. I also sucked ice chips to keep from getting mouth sores.
It really works, Jake. I swallow a BIG (like tablespoon) of mustard right out of the jar and wash it down with water. If you like dill pickles, keep the pickle juice when all the cukes are gone. A big swig of that pickle brine (vinegar) will also help cramping. Weird but it works for me.
The turmeric in mustard is supposed to help with pain, so maybe that is part of the reason that mustard helps with the cramps.
One of our daughters swears by turmeric; she had some in a baggy, a couple years ago, and was telling me what all it's good for; can't remember now, been "awhile". She left some here, I never used it though.
Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory, so it is good for many things. It is the active ingredient in Relief Factor.
Turmeric is one of the pills I take daily. I temporarily stopped taking most of the pills except for 2 prescription pills until after the biopsy.
