Good Morning @Joe Riley I see you are branching out into the Bakery Business now. I make a wonderful Banana Bread so I thought I'd share a loaf with you this morning. Looking forward to stopping in every now and then to pick up what I know will be yummy sweets, just not to often because I have to watch my waistline, and my health.
Thank you for the visit, @Babs Hunt ,your banana bread looks scrumptious. Our neighbors, are in their 40's with no children, but have two nephews. Their names are Carson and John. Carson is 17, and bakes his own recipe of Banana bread, and delivered some a few times...still warm. (with nuts). It is the best! All our stuff here, is no calories!
No calories? Where are the pastries from? At a local supermarket Times Supermarket they've got sugar free pastries that is soooo expensive all I can do is look at them I buy occasionally some pastries like the no sugar added turnovers they got which is reasonable...2/1.79 on sale. Foodland another local supermarket has no sugar added apple and peach pies for 8.99 for an 8" pie to high for me. I hope many more stores locally get to bake some no calories pastries too. Miss my pastries a lot and ice cream too! I make my apple fritters with this and it tastes okay. Guess I got to make some today too for I got some apples on sale that weren't too sweet, but it's okay. image from http://searchbeat.com/kitchen-shopping/index.php?psps_search=baking
Fun facts about Bread Better Than Sliced Bread Pre-sliced bread was invented in 1928 by a man named Otto Rohwedder in Chillicothe, MO, after working on it for 16 years. Many thought it was a passing fad, assuming the bread would go stale faster than unsliced bread. To Eat A Bushel If you ate a sandwich for breakfast, lunch and dinner, it would take 168 days to eat the amount of bread produced from one bushel of wheat.
Good Morning @Joe Riley I hope you have homemade pies because I just told everyone on the Good Morning tread that I just had the most wonderful slice of coconut creme pie from you shop and encouraged everyone to come over here and have a slice of their favorite pie. Life is good, and it's even better with a little bit of sweetness added to it.
How We All Love The Bakery Lewis Raynes I love the egg custards, the apricot Danish, And the warmed up apple dumpling. And I especially love the creamy rolls, Filled with that special something. Do you like your apple crumble or, Is your favourite coconut cream? Is it the cherry crumb biscuit, lemon meringue, Or a lemon supreme? If you love indulging on all sorts of muffins, The blueberry, carrot or bran, And then dining on all the beautiful cakes, If your favourite’s the Spanish flan. Then I believe we should go on a date, To the biggest bakery we can find. We can have the greatest restaurant meal, Leaving meat and three veg behind.
