To me, elephants are awesome. I could never shoot one, unless it was a rogue and had to be destroyed. As a young teen, I was fascinated by the exploits of characters like 'Walter Dalrymple Maitland Bell(1880–1954), known asKaramojo Bell, was a Scottish adventurer,big game hunter in East Africa,[1]soldier, decorated fighter pilot, sailor, writer, and painter'. Bell was an ivory hunter and was said to have killed over 1000 of the beasts for their tusks. He also hated the heavy recoil of the 'elephant guns' of the day and shot most with small bore rifles, such as the 7MM Mauser. Sadly, ivory hunting is still happening in some areas, though illegal.
I could kill anyone that harms an elephant, they are magnificent animals I just do not understand the mentality of these cretins to kill just for the sake of it
I would never shoot an animal period unless it was for an absolute means of survival. Elephants are really pretty magnificient and very intelligent though. I don't think there are that many left in the wild. I really don't see why anyone would want to shoot them. I mean is the ivory really worth an elephants life? I guess if your family was starving you might feel differently, but it is just wrong!
I love elephants and collect them. I don't like tattoos but this is one I would do...grandsons would think its cool, the little ones anyway.
Definitely...if you "see" one you know you are definitely going to have a bad "hangover" in the morning.
