Had visions of that thing crawling up inside, under the car ...

If something like that ever happened, I think I would die right then. I always have creepy thoughts anyway of something getting in my car ever since my SIL told me he was driving to work one day and he felt something crawling up his legs under his pants. He pulled over and it was a mouse. Somehow one got in his car, he doesn't know how or where. He has a Lexus so it's not like some old car full of holes.

There was a story in the news this week about a three foot snake that crawled out of the dashboard of a lady's car while she was driving down the highway. Talk about freaking out.

I would have crashed and had a heart attack, don't know in what order but even a small garter snake gives me the creeps.

@Chrissy Page, my question was, "Would you take the ten years of happiness in the early years or near the end of your life?"

Oh, that's harder. I think the early years. Being happy at the end of life will make it more difficult to accept death.

Well @Shirley Martin I gave an answer to this already but I see I misunderstood as you are asking would I take those ten years of total happiness in my younger years or the last. My first answer was that I'd take five years in both my younger years and my last. But I see now this is the choices you gave. So out of choice you gave, I would take those 10 years of total happiness in my last years as I think I would know to appreciate all that happiness alot better after having not had it totally in my younger years. :)

Okay, enough with the snakes. This isn't a snake thread. Here's another question:

If you could increase your positive attributes (such as intelligence, looks, athletic ability, strength, personality, creativity, and sense of humor) by decreasing other positive qualities, which qualities would you increase, and which would you decrease by the same percentage?

I believe God made me the way He wants me. I believe He wants me to strengthen my attributes, but not to trade off others to do it.

I would increase and strength and decrease looks, need strength as I age, while looks got me a lot when I was younger, they are pretty useless now.

Is that what you meant by your question, Ken?

I would decrease some of my organzational skills for more body strength and flexability. I would decrease some my researching mind that needs too know everything while increasing my creativity. I would decrease some of my worldly intelligence to increase my spiritual wisdom and discernment. And I would decrease some of my nurturing of everyone...and increase the adventureous and courageous part of me.

I would give up some of my intelligence if I could increase my will to live.

Looks like we're in the same boat, my will to live is at an all time low. It's not that I would do anything to purposely die but I just don't care if I do. I'm finding this view less stressful and more reassuring since were all getting closer to death anyway, might as well not fear it.

I would never increase by decreasing other positive qualities. If there was a way of increasing and not sacrificing other attributes that would be OK

Looks are that important to you, Martin? I would think that was an easy choice for seniors.

I'm not talking becoming scaring ugly, just not my usual beautiful self. :)
