So I'm sitting here on a rare day off, pondering who I'd be wooing if I were Trump... who, in all the country is smart, well-known, and knows politics. For a number of reasons, I would be on the phone daily to try to talk Condi Rice into running with me. I mentioned this here many months ago... anyone have new thoughts on it? I know she has stated more than once that she has no interest in running for high office, but golly, it would sure be a good choice in my eyes, to pull a number of demographic groups away from Hillary! My disclaimer is that I'm not really well educated on politics, and I realize there could be very good reasons others don't agree with this, but on a basic level from someone not being very political-minded, I'd sure be giving it some serious thought!
I've always thought highly of Condi Rice. I don't like Christi and don't trust Newt. Always liked Huckabee.
@Ike Willis , same here except for I don't know much about Christi at all... Newt.... well, I've learned to avoid cutesy smiles and shifty eyes. I can't help it! I've liked Huck, too, and I think he'd be a good choice. But Condi... I've thought for years she should get further into politics. No nonsense, to the point, and an American with patriotism, which is sorely needed.
I liked Condi and Christie. Didn't pay attention to Huckabee so really don't know that much about him. I liked Palin when she first came on the scene but it was all downhill from there. Hope he doesn't pick her.
If he wants to win he has to pick someone the Cruz supporters will like. As of now they hate Trump and aren't voting. He can't afford to not get all the Republican vote.
