All these years later, people are still wondering who was actually behind the Kennedy assassination, and why it happened.
There are almost as many speculations about why Kennedy was shot and killed as there are possible suspects for who orchestrated the murder of one of our most beloved presidents.
I read the information about this documentary, watched the trailer, and will probably watch the whole presentation this evening.
It looks like it is on Youtube, and I haven't checked Netflix yet.
This documentary is interesting in the fact that it suggests that the Bush family might well have been involved.
Other reports have also included former president, Lyndon Johnson as being part of the plot.
One thing seems to be certain, and that is that the case does not lack for possible suspects, and whoever actually is responsible certainly did a good job of covering up their tracks.
Has anyone already seen this documentary, and if so, what did you think about it ?
Since this assassination is such an important part of history, I added the thread here instead of just in with other movies and TV programs in the entertainment thread.

I have not, but would remark that if it brings up the "grassy knoll", I can contribute a few things I read long, long ago. The grassy knoll was a park-like area just ahead of the location of the Lincoln when JFK was shot. Since brain matter splattered a motorcycle cop behind the Lincoln, it made sense that the killing shot was fired from in front of the vehicle. Warren Commission declared the Science of Physics to be invalid by stating the President's bodily fluids bounced backwards towards the source of the bullet, the Book Depository.

The grassy knoll had a system of storm drains beneath it, easily capable of allowing an assassin to present, and disappear, easily. The grassy knoll and it's storm drains had been constructed by a company owned by an individual bound to have intimate knowledge of it's layout. Ownership of that company has been well-documented. I have always thought LBJ was right up to his big Texas butt cheeks in JFK's assassination.

I've seen some documentary about the assassination of our former president JFK and I think Johnson our former vice pres couldn't have done it for he'd have nothing to gain from it...he had the cushiest job when Pres. JFK was alive...so it couldn't have been him. I look at it from the standpoint of who'd gain a lot if Pres. JFK was gone...it would be most interesting looking at the assassination from this prospective wouldn't it?

@Chris Ladewig One should ask: Of all people within the Washington "Inner Sanctum", which one stood to gain the most from JFK's exit?

I have to admit, I still have questions. There have been so many versions told by now that I'm not sure the truth could even be recognized at this point. I visited the scene several years ago, and didn't really get any ominous sense about the Book Depository, but the Grassy Knoll gave me chills for some reason.

This is one that never will be proven. You will never create the same scenario as what happened that day. There's been some attempts to recreate the head shot and here's one....

Same here, @Chris Ladewig ... I don't even remember why I started believing that, but I did think it even when I was much too young to be thinking of things like that. I was only six when it happened, but I was believing the LBJ thing probably around the very early 70s.

He got to be president and it happened in his state. I don't think he was the reason. I think Kennedy wasn't interested in following the plan that is now playing out and has been for some time, That's why Johnson got the hell out of office without running for another term. He was scared to death and kept his mouth shut to stay alive.

Living near Dallas, I can tell you that there are an infinite number of conspiracy theories. I think that people had such hi hopes for the JFK administration. And that believing a lone gunman could put an end to that is inconceivsble. PBS has a documentary surrounding the womam Oswalt's wife lived with when she was separated from him prior to the assassination. It is clear to me in that dovumentary that Oswalt did it alone. He hid his gun in the garage where his wife was staying and the cryptic sayings overheard by the room mate totals up to someone who was a little "off'".

Although I have no idea and probably never will know the truth, it could be the simple answer is the right answer.

There have always been assassination attempts by lone, mental gunman. Not all are successful but some are.

I don't think that the ones that failed and where done by a lone gunman ever proved that it was anything more.

@Chrissy Page Great video! Thank you! As a lifelong target shooting enthusiast, I can attest to the possibility of liquid, or near-liquid, matter, being thrown backwards towards the shooter. Experienced it myself, testing self-defense special handgun rounds known as Glaser Safety Slugs, and was hit with water spray thrown back at me from no more than twenty feet away. It would not have flown much farther than that distance had I not been in the way. Nor was it very much in quantity. Big differences exist in effect between handgun levels of power, and "high-powered" rifles, though. I won't delve into that as it's speculative in this comparison.

But, the Italian Carcano rifle used by Oswald, even though he may have been a highly-experienced user of rifles, was notoriously poor at being cyclable quickly. Much testing was done by independent folks having no possible gain from incorrect or slanted reporting, using a number of the world's foremost rifle shooters: NONE could duplicate Oswald's feat of having fired three or four rounds in 3 seconds or less. NONE.

Given the highest level of expertise and the best-available bolt-action rifle, and the Carcano certainly lies outside the realm of quality in that respect, even firing 2 rounds in under 3 seconds, much less doing so with high accuracy of aim, is nearly impossible.

That's what I remember about the aftermath. Ah, comes to mind a bit more. Jack Ruby was dying of cancer when he murdered Oswald. Speculate on: why would he do it? Would incentive have been a big payout to his wife?

Nobody will ever recreate how it happened exactly. So mant little details that could affect the outcome. You have to use a dummy which isn't exactly a real person. Even the knot in JFKs tie probably can't be duplicated exactly.
Not to mention all the other maybe even unknown factors tnat weren't recorded that day. Evidence gathering was probably somewhat different too back then.

As for Ruby, I don't even remember the details involved with him but I did see it live on TV.

That's the problem with unsolved crimes, there are so many suspects but no one was proven to have done it because there is no evidence. But the suspicion remains after all these years. I had seen the video clip of President JFK's assassination and I have also read the accounts of the aftermath including the suspected assassin and the killer of the assassin inside the jail. But with the mastermind, he may be an influential person or maybe a powerful organization.

We have a parallel with the JFK murder which is the Ninoy Aquino killing right on the tarmac of the Manila International Airport when the former senator was disembarking from a China Arilines plane. Until now, the mastermind has not been identified.
