Passive Aggressive Behavior

    :rolleyes: Uh... stirring up "the mob" purposely by pre-meditation is one of the symptoms of passive aggressive behavior. It's sometimes better to be either passive or aggressive. Mixin' 'em up tends to get confusing. Now me, I can be either depending on my mood. Right now... well, right now, I'm just amused. :cool: Which mood suits ya at the moment, Arlene? I'd guess aggressive wouldn't be much of a stretch? Maybe if you try to actually JOIN "the mob" you'd feel better?

    Oh and herd... isn't that a fun concept?! Herd of what? Unicorns? Of course I've "herd" of unicorns... hasn't everyone? What kind of sound does a unicorn make, I wonder? Unless you believe they don't exist? But a lot of things we can't see actually exist. Hmmm... so much to ponder, so little time.

    So, if we're a herd, let's have a group slumber party 'cause Mari was up at 3 a.m. and getting sleepy. I'll bring chips and candy. Goodnight everyone... it's been... uh... real. ;)

    My folks took me to the Circus once, in the Chicago Coliseum. I may have been around 10. Only time we ever went.

    The clowns were aggressive, but not passive. One carried out a giant firecracker, nearly as big as he was, lit it, and ran. The report was miniscule. His buddy clown then came out, placed a tiny firecracker, little larger than a shot-glass, lit it, and backed away slowly. The report was deafening, my Dad remarked it must have been dynamite! The things a kid remembers!

    I dunno with you guys if you agree or not. But having a passive aggressive behavior seems to become a way to some people.as a means to cope up with situations and avoid conflict or interaction to deal with the situation. I still believe communication and honesty plays a big role in order to deal with people having these kinds of behavior.

    After reading through this thread, I am impressed at how "bang on" in my professional opinion the majority of the various poster's comments are around passive aggressive behaviour--which, by the way, can also be a form of

    abuse, domestic or otherwise. I certainly don't see any signs of mob mentality, just a healthy discussion, and a refusal to be baited, or controlled. It is interesting that the o p seems to feel the need to sneer at the opinions of


    those who disagree with her position, while refusing to accept any accountability for her own behaviour. You don't need to be a psychotherapist/psychologist to diagnose this one.

    Rhetorical question: Since when do I have to be "accountable" to YOU or anyone on an internet forum?

    I'll close by saying I have no idea why you folks keep coming back to this thread or why the thread is still here. I"d change the thread title to "Free for all Random Chat & Sling" (I tried but it's too late). So, carry on, have a blast, yada yada yada.:D

    Wow, so often the favourite response to a poor argument/indefensible position is a personal attack. Sad really, when a person is so unhappy that their only release is to be a keyboard warrior. Accountability is one of the keystones of successful human interaction, both on and off the Internet. Otherwise, we are all subject to the whims of high chair tyrants.

    Dunno about the forehead thing there Patsy. But I definitely know unicorns exist. It was one of those passive / aggressive unicorns and was located on my big toe. It sat there for a while unnoticed and then got real aggressive later on. Good thing I didn't have bi-corns or tri-corns cause I'd wind up having to aggressively go to the toe Doctor. Too bad you can't popcorns to get rid of them. Maybe some butter might help.

    Dunno. In today's way of thinking, perhaps I might wait until tomorrow afternoon to give you a good answer to that one. Do Fritos and popcorn marry well? You see the problem? I'll have to call the idea in to a Supreme Court justice and get a verdict on that one. I gotta be PC or somebody is gonna call me a snackist. hmmm....sounds too passive to me. Let's get aggressive and do it anyway but please, where no one is watching and no one can hear the crunching.
