I am not known for referring to the Huffington Post since it is one of the more liberal rags in the country, but the Huff Post does get it right from time to time, or at least they sometimes publish people who make sense. This one of those. Zach Carter, Senior Political Economy Reporter for the Huffington Post, discusses the reasons why the rich and powerful, such as Hillary Clinton, aren’t held to the same standards of justice as the rest of us. No, he doesn't limit his examples to Hillary Clinton, as there are rich and powerful people above the law in both political parties.
Money buys social position. Social position when achieved invariably beckons more money, understandably. More money secures personal satisfaction with "lot in life". Greed then intervenes. More money is desirable. Easier to obtain it via nefarious means, rather than breaking one's back. Where lies huge money, easily obtained, though very riskily obtained? Drugs. Because they are illegal. Would folks in the "public eye" stoop so low as to try benefit from the drug trade? Of course, they would. What if those "folks" were "Political Leaders"? Whitewater Scandal? Teen Aged boys dead "asleep" on the RR tracks? Arkansas the "entry state" for bulk of cocaine in USA? Insiders fearing "time" eliminated by expediency, "accidents", as in the case of Ron Brown. Try to imagine two teen-agers walking the RR tracks, who lied down and fell asleep on the tracks, and were killed by a passing train. This is the scenario which was broadcast by the Clinton Administration, in the 1990s. Why did they die? They had talked of seeing small planes dropping boxes to the ground west of Mena, AR, the property owned by Hillary's realty Co. The "Whitewater" property. Tell me, how in the f67k could ANYONE lie down on a RR track, and fall asleep? One Mom, seeking answers, had her son's remains exhumed. Second autopsy performed. "Blunt trauma to the head". The kid and his friend WATCHED stuff being dropped from small planes. Ya suppose it was red Cross materials for Africa?/? You think we're dealing here with common, everyday people in politics? WRONG! We are dealing with folks who know exactly how high the stakes are, i.e. RUNNING THE COUNTRY. No act of contrition, no violation of public trust, no real concern for consequences, except that the position be WON by VOTE!
I had wanted to comment on this thread with real names but sanity cautions me. There are many cases here where the rich goes scot free after committing a crime. There is even a saying here that steal 100 pesos and you go to jail, steal 50 million pesos and you don't get prosecuted. Maybe it is true that sometimes money talks and even moves mountains. Have I not posted about the drug menace? Now it is our president who is saying that there are convicted criminals inside the penitentiary who are still operating as a drug lord. Gee, that is too difficult for an ordinary mind to comprehend.
The FBI director admitted that if it was anyone else than Hillary they would come down on them heavy. He said that if anyone else done the same thing she did they would be inedited what that that tell you.
@Frank Sanoica , the boys on the tracks scenario is easy to believe, I've heard it happen other times. They are drunk or high. Did they test them for anything like that? Also the first part of your post could be describing Trump until you get to the political part. I bet you're having a hard time believing that I hate Hillary. I just see both sides....I don't lean too far in either direction.
It tells me she's guilty but that's politics. Didn't Bush start the war on Iraq with false info given to the UN? Lots of lives lost there also. I was for the war then and believed Bush.
Chrissy this is happening now [Hillary] and if they do a good job they can stop it. If they had known that Bush was lying they might have prevented the war. The only people complaining at that time was the alternative media. Chilcot report is now out and after Tony Blair now and that will involve Bush maybe his date with the Justice system is not far off.
The democrats were also complaining at that time, Martin. Talking about Iraq. To be perfectly honest, I didn't buy the whole story about the WMD but I didn't like Hussein and felt he was doing horrible things to his people...that I believed. He also could have gotten rid of the WMDs before inspection but the whole war didn't go well, so looking back....not a great idea.
