Well, it was stated that only Christians were being hired at this Attraction and even some complaints stated that on the news. Chrissy stated that hiring Christians only was discrimination and against the law. I was just trying to explain not hiring someone isn't against the law. Yes, there is such a law, but how often enforced??? If this Attraction only wants to hire Christians, that's up to them. It would seem "common sense" though!
Chrissy, this Attraction appears to be a nice one, but some news network stated that some folks are complaining about it as well. One of the complaints concerns the hiring of Christian's "only" to work/give tours. The way I see it, someone is going to complain about something, when the subject is about religion. However, I see nothing wrong with hiring "professed" Christian only, since it is basically a Christian Attraction. The place sure wouldn't hire an Athiest, Buddust or someone like that. It's just like the Christian Attraction in Orlando, Florida. Christians run it....the way it should be.
I guess, I thought my grandsons would enjoy it and they still might but the dinosaurs don't sit well with my beliefs. Like I said the 7 year old always makes Arks and we don't use the dinosaurs. He sets up his dinosaurs in different Type settings. Well, not all people and religions believe the same thing so you either go or don't or say its a bible STORY park. It's really not my problem anyway, that's the last thing I would spend money on to take a trip by myself to Kentucky. It's too far from CA. If I was visiting in Illinois and they went, then I'd go. Don't know how far it is for them. I know they can drive to Kentucky in a few hours but depends where. Edit: looked it up and it's a 5 hr drive from my son's....doable but probably only if there were other attractions around also. Too long a drive with 3 small boys for just one thing.
Noah (Movie starring Russell Crowe) How much do you know about Noah, the Flood, the animals, the ark? (video) "You may picture a cute bathtub toy boat with giraffes sticking their necks out the top. Or you may think of Russell Crowe watching the coming of rain in the movie Noah. Is the ark still on Mount Ararat in Turkey? Few stories in the Bible are as filled with as much mystery, and intrigue".
I saw the movie when I was visiting my son in Illinois, watched it with the grandsons. It was a little freaky.
In the review of the movie, Noah, it talks about the filmmakers using creative license to fill in the gaps not mentioned in the Bible.I found it interesting how they define the evil upon evil of the people as being of an environmental disaster kind of evil. I always thought of it as the "Sodom & Gomorrah" type. A little political correctness creeping in?
Well time will tell for all attractions. It's nice though and I hope it's successful and helps introduce many to the Bible and the faith. Aside of being a place where you can see all sorts of animals safely it seems to be a nice place to spend time with your family too. Nice attraction!
We all loved Noah's Ark. The boys would get wood carved arks with animals. Now I'm crocheting ark shoulder bags, that have animal heads peeking out the port holes. And a rainbow colored strap. These are for my granddaughters. The ark in Ky. is just awesome and would love to visit it.
