The new old. Its not only about being nostalgic or just simply finding fashion a way on how to disposed or show off classic pieces of clothing or fashion of the old generation. Vintage fashion relives memories and re-creates scenes from he past coming back again on a different time and age. It's like dressing up with old stuff and be hip and in fashion anew. Business sprouts like mushrooms. Since you knew each fashion piece by heart, it was easier how to assemble them and arrange them to make them look like how they were worn before. Adding an item or two makes the ensemble a new twist of fashion outfit that can even go viral like a fad. Vintage fashion means being happy and fabulous! If you have those old yet very nice ensembles that stuffed your closet spaces. Why not let them out not only to let the fabric breathe and not just make those mildews and rotten elements feed on them. Why not get your jolly mood out and re-arranged them in a shop where other people can experience them and make them look fabulous as well. Share and ripple the experience to the next generation. Who knows, those happy moments you've experienced when you wore them before could somehow ripple to the new owner as they enjoy wearing them too. Vintage fashion come in every generation. It simply a fashion blast that never fade and comes in every generation and era.

There you go Ike & Patsy. You're fashion imagination are working fine! As I've noted above, you've gotta work a little imagination and be inventive enough on mixing, adding or lessen some from the original attire. You can alter, modify, add up some accessories or embellishments to it. It will be fun redesigning the old to look new and unique. Anyway, that is how fashion is right? Be inventive to make and be fabulous.
Oh my, @Amie Ar ... that's ... interesting! I like the brown "swing" dress but that first man's outfit... is that a skirt? Or really baggy pants? I can't tell... I do like the vest fabric and contrasting collar but...

I adore vintage clothing. I would like to see more women wearing this clothing. If I were younger and thinner, I would wear clothes from the 40's through the early 60's.
Same here @ Mari. I initially thought it was a kilt. And wonder if men during those time/era really had to wear such wide width pants that really or almost look like a kilt if not a bit longer in length and without the bag that goes with the kilt traditionally worn by Scottish men on cultural occasions.
It sure was classy, wasn't it, @Texas Beth ?! My daughter developed an interest in the WWII era about 8 years ago and started buying vintage clothing from that era. She has a few good dresses, a sundress, a couple of hats, gloves, and a coat. Problem is that to find things in good/perfect condition from that era, the price tags are ridiculously high.
@Mari North - A 'lot' of ladies over here have gone back to the 40s and 50s style - everything, make up and hair as well as home décor. I love to see them. They all look FAB ! BTW - you can get very good retro clothing on Amazon - really good
How is she doing with that Ken? I've thought of opening a small Ebay or Etsy vintage shop if I ever semi retire. I gave a lot of stuff away to our PAWS thrift I'm sure I could have sold online. But PAWS does so much for animals and cats in this area, it's worth donating to them. I have some vintage jewelry I'm sure I'll never wear and thought of trying to put some of that online. I'm sure I could also fine small easy to ship things I could sell on my own thrift shopping. Not sure but I may try some day. As far as fashion, I love vintage fashion. I have a 30's cotton yellow sun dress I bought at a thrift store I'd love to display some day if I ever get that second bedroom the cats can't go into. I also have a dress that probably was worn by a young teenager. Cotton, cotton lace with hook and eyes all the way down most of the side front. Probably from the early 1900s. I found it in a thrift shop marked 0.75 stained. It's not stained at all. And yes, 75 cents. I don't want to sell it.
