Well, I just ruined a pair of pants. My knife came open in my pocket and poked a couple holes in my pants, almost stabbing me in my right arm. There was a safety button on the side, but it got lost.
I carry a Kershaw just like the photo. It's a good knife, quick and easy to open. Too easy, without the safe button.
Guess I'll have to look for a different carry knife, or try to make it safer. The blade has good steel. Sharpens to a razor edge and holds it pretty well.

For the longest time, I carried a P38 can opener on my pocket key ring.
These would tear up a pants pocket in a heart-beat and stab you in the leg!

A left over concept from when we had C-Rations in the field.

Not sure why I carried one after MRE's came out.

Guess I wanted to be prepared it someone came up to me and offer a can of pears or such, that needed a can opener.o_O
