i just noticed I'm getting close, about 500 more likes and I'll reach 10,000! Wonder if there is an award for that. Seems after a few milestones nothing happens....so my dear friends, keep on liking my posts. I'm excited!
I am going to move this to the Help section where we discuss upgrades and changes to the forum, because you bring up a good point. I may need to extend the points system. Actually, that is something that I might look into for the future. I have been going with the default points system that is set up by the forum software but that is customizable. The points system can be used in any number of ways, which I will need to research before making any promises, but that is something that I think I might want to expand. I haven't upgraded the forum software in a while, so I need to do that this week if I can finish my work week early, and that would be a good time to look into whatever else might be available. There are some modifications that are available to extend the usefulness of the points system, which include likes as well as other variables.
I'll have do the math and see how long this should take. First I have to see about how many likes I get each day...it probably varies a lot and I've never really looked at it. I've rounded the numbers and I need about 425 likes. I think on a good day I can get 10...so about 42.5 days. That's still far away, gives Ken time to plan a special party for me. I better stay on the straight and narrow...would hate to get banned before I reach my goal. Always something to worry about.
I've never even paid attention to the number of likes, etc. I had to go look at my profile to see how many I had, and what else was on there. I ended up finding out several people follow me, so I followed them back. I'm not quite sure what following is, but I guess it has some sort of significance. Maybe I see their posts? Either way, 10,000 Likes is a LOT, and it does deserve some sort of recognition.
I haven't paid attention to who I'm following lately but will take a look and follow some more people. I've unfollowed a few since they don't post anymore or I was mad at them, lol.
