I was reading that one out of four women were taking medication for the treatment of mental illness. That's scary, but even scarier is the thought that three out of every four women are walking around untreated.
And the men are all drinking alcohol for their mental issues instead of going the Doctor and taking a pill.
Yep - its the times we live in, heard last week that youngsters at school are going through mental health issues and self harming - just awful And, we're not gonna change these times neither
Think Ken is joking but there are a lot of mentally unstable people out there. Lots of suicides, etc. Just in the last year I know of one on a forum and one on Facebook. Both female. I just don't understand cutters or people that commit suicide unless they're in pain and dying anyway. Only one reason I would ever think of suicide and that would be the death of one of my kids or grandkids but I wouldn't because I know I would just add pain and hurt to others. My husband's and mom's death really knocked me down but I survived, had a tough summer but never thought of ending my life. I don't think it's the times we live in though @Patsy Faye ecause suicide has been around forever and cutters and anorexia aren't that new either, although I didn't hear of it when I was in school, nor did I see anyone who would be considered anorexic. I know @Babs Hunt is kidding too but there are plenty of women that are alcoholics.
Don't get the joke I didn't mention suicide but I've seen a lot of evidence of mental issues as I watch a lot of factual programmes The fact that the issue is starting very young is worrying and should be dealt with by the schools, parents and Government - now
Boy, are y'all a fun lovin' crowd! Can't you get the joke? Lets see, there's Babs, Chrissy then Patsy~~~~ all must be on their meds. That's three out of four. So I must be the only nutso one here. Bwahahahahahaha!
I covered my butt on all levels...thought it was funny but still talked about the issues of mental illiness.
@Babs Hunt As I understand you, then, I may rather be betterr off taking a pill in deference to my glass of homemade fruit wine? I cannot imagine some man-made synthetic preparation being better for me than the wine containing only 4 natural ingredients......water, yeast, sugar, and fruit. Frank
