I had to laugh when I was typing the title, because I used to order takeout from a place called Pizza Ring. This recipe looks really easy. It uses crescent rolls, pizza sauce, pepperoni and cheese, and is baked in the oven. It would take a little more time and work than simply tossing a frozen pizza pie in the oven, but imagine how much better it would taste. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1117287138284511 PS if you look in the comments, you'll see a picture of a taco ring that also looks delicious.
Yumm! That looks great and so easy. I love crescent rolls and have been experimenting with things like this. I like to take a square (two triangles), put some taco meat, cheese, salsa and fold it over - and call it an empanada. It also really good for "pot pies". Make up a thick, creaming chicken soup then press squares of crescents into a large cupcake tin, pour the soup in about 2/3 full, then fold the crescents over the top and bake for 20 minutes or so. I've also done the same thing with chopped apples that have been tossed with sugar and cinnamon.
Yum, those all sound delicious, @Mal Campbell. I don't often have crescent rolls these days. Even the generic ones are somewhat expensive, but when I get some, I will have to try out some of these recipes. The taco ring in the comments looks yummy as well.
It looks so good! Maybe I'll try it next time. I love the fact that you just need a few ingredients and baking it right up takes just a few minutes. Same as if you were getting a frozen pizza time cook up. I always put extra cheese & pepperoni. With the crescent roll dough you can bake up your favorite pizza in minutes! Thanks for the yummy recipe!
I don't think I've ever had crescent rolls. I try to avoid pre-made or highly processed foods. I love pizza but seldom make it because my wife thinks it has too many calories. I have made pizza dough before; it's not hard to make and you can use whole wheat or whatever you like.
