We finally spoke with the landlord this morning and went over. I turned in the paperwork, then we went to WalMart. Got a call that the back ground check and such had passed so we went back and I signed the rest of the paperwork and the lease, got the keys and now things are being moved over. So I will spend my first night there. Twiggy the dog will not be able to be there until the 3rd of June when I pay the pet deposit. But I will spend my first night in my new home tonight.
Maybe Twiggy could be a "friend' who is spending the night to help you celebrate your first night in your new home!
Wooohooooo...good for you Joyce...shame you have to wait a couple of weeks for Twiggy but at least at last your finally going to be in your new home..
I am using xfinity's free 1hr wifi use. I can get 2 one hour passes a month. The landlord has a wifi connection we can use but I cannot get the password to connect. I spent my first night in the apartment and slept well. Yvonne is going to take me to Medicaide and a couple of other places today. I have gotten some of the stuff put away so progress is being made.
I am just headed over there to get her, next thing on my to-do list. I had to take Bobby to Home Depot early, but am now back from that, and going to load up Evelyn's house plants and plant stand to take over for her. Friday is my cardioversion; so I will be at the hospital most of the day on Friday, and we need to get everything taken care of before I have to go in for the heart procedure. I will probably have to be in bed rest even after I get done with having my heart shocked back into rhythm, so it can settle in to the regular heartbeat and not go back into a-fib. Busy, busy week ! !
Going to be a busy time for Yvonne and Joyce. Nice to see that things are progressing well. Have fun exploring your new home Joyce
It's great that you're settled in well @Joyce Mcgregor and are getting the issue of the Medicaid sorted it with the help of Yvonne...I hope you can get that password sorted out too , and get some stable internet connection . @Yvonne Smith , I'm wishing you all the best for your procedure on Friday ( I know you've had it before )...but it's important that you take things easy... . I know you want to help Evelyn as much as possible, but just be careful to pace yourself... ( sorry that was an unintended pun) ...sorry to sound like your mother... lol
You will definitely be ready for some bed rest (I need it just reading what your schedule is). After everything is over ...just relax on your iPad.
Wishing you well Yvonne - I'm sure Bobby will make sure you get that rest Good thing, Joyce is settled beforehand
It has been a long day; but we accomplished pretty much everything we needed to get done. All of the Medicaid stuff is taken care of, food stamps applied for, went to the Handi-Ride and got her account there updated and she got enough ride passes to take care of anything that she needs when I am gone to Idaho at the end of this month. Then we needed to go to Walmart for a few household items, and lastly, to Kroger for groceries. After I got home, Bobby and I (actually Bobby) loaded up a recliner on top of the station wagon and took that over , along with a little folding chair that Evelyn can use to sit outside on the porch in the shade. I am seriously tired, and ready for a nice shower. It was about 90 today, and with no AC in the car, we were glad for the little breeze we had. Oh, and I got a few more tomato plants set out early this morning before everything else. They seem to be growing pretty good this year, and will post more about that in the gardening threads.
Blimey...Yvonne, this is you when you're not in the best of health.?..you can come over to mine whenever you get fit and healthy again...lol
