For the third time, Fabs has a screw loose 'well he would have married to you' I hear you cry .......
No no no, on his specs ! :)
He picks them up and the lens pops out, then the hunt is on for the tiny screw
But why ? Why does the screw become so loose o_O

That's weird...Ive never had that happen.

Maybe since it always comes loose...the hole has become a tad bigger, not by much but just enough for the screw to come out.

Have the same problem with the 'readers' I buy for work. I put a very tiny drop of Super Glue on
    the top of each screw.
( make sure it dries completely before using... )
This seems to keep them in place for a while. Then I drop them, step on them, or I can't find them, etc...;)

If all else fails, I use these in a pinch.

Thanks Tim - this is the second pair that it has occurred
He never folds them and we just don't see why the screw should become loose
Not had the problem with mine either
We thought of superglue and may have to do that :)

I was going to post that about the nail polish. It works very well.

It does work well. I've used it on two pair. Some people are hard on shoes, some on glasses.

Of course, in @Patsy Faye 's case, it might take more than nail polish. :D

I've been wearing glasses since I was ten, and have frequently had a problem with the little screws that hold the lens in place coming loose. If I don't keep a tiny screwdriver around to keep tightening them, the lens will fall out. I mentioned that to the people at the eyeglass place a few years ago, and they said they could use a reverse thread on it, to see if that would make a difference. So they tighten up by turning them to the left, rather than to the right, but I don't have to remember that because they don't come loose anymore.

Thanks for all your smashing replies :)
Still puzzled as to why it happens, another mystery
We will try the suggestions as well as buying 'extra' screws from the optician, took me a while to think of that one :p

@Patsy Faye , I'm still trying to figure out why the clothes dryer makes one sock disappear. I've had my washer and dryer for about 25 years, but the last set my son tore apart thinking those socks had to be somewhere. Of course he found no socks, but at least with the machines torn apart he was able to transport them to the recycling place a lot easier.

Tell your Fabs that having a loose screw just makes him normal. :D

@Gloria Mitchell - ha ha, no - they are reading glasses, so no chance of being in there, good thinking though :p
    Fortunately he found the screw
