Had a great time last night at our apartment. I put on my entire Darth Vader costume (lights, helmet, armor, boots, cape and lightsaber) stood outside and greeted Trick or Treaters as they came to our door. Wife didn't put her Stormtrooper costume on, but helped me with mine. For last night, it was just more convenient for me to dress up. She gave out the candy. I couldn't believe how popular Darth Vader still is! Kids were coming up to me and shaking my hand, while parents (and my wife) were taking photos. I felt like a celebrity and I loved it. I even walked down the sidewalk by our apartment a few times and waved at cars coming in and leaving our complex. I was a HIT and wife and I loved it. It really made the cost of this costume and cost of alternations worth it. A photo to come (I have a quite a few to go through).
@Cody Fousnaugh , I'm sure the kids loved your show. Now, wasn't that better than some silly old party?
Wow, that sounds like you a haunting good time on Halloween . was it at night or day time? or both? LOL looking forward to the pics..
Still light outside at 6PM. We were so happy that I did this, but would’ve also liked to have gone to an adult party as well. Hopefully next year.
Yes, next year, enjoy your adult Halloween party.. At least you have this years Haunting Halloween good time checked off your bucket list now...LOL
@Cody Fousnaugh I know your costume and antics, (there had to be some Darth Vader moves and sayings), made a big hit with the youngens, and the parents too. Many of the parents went through the Star Wars phase as children too, so it brought up good memories for them as well. So keep up the good vibes friend.
Hey Cody, what do you think? Of course the Tech Zombie has struck again, and I am getting ready to settle down for the night, so just turn you head,
@Ina I. Wonder.......that isn't a Star Wars buckle. That is a Star Trek buckle. It's showing the USS Enterprise. I was never a "Treki", but did watch the tv show at times. No thanks, but do appreciate the thought.
