Wonderful holiday wishes I would like to extend to all my friends and enemies at this time, and to that extent, my presence here in the near future may hinge bit on the visit of my nephews to Bullhead City, AZ. Detailed elsewhere. Importance, well,....unimportant

I do wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Thanksgiving today and as a matter of fact, everyday.
If you are faith based, it is indeed time to Thank God and each other for all of those things that we count as blessings both seen and unseen.
If perhaps you are lacking in faith, I would like to thank you for being a friend for indeed, you are a blessing to me and do hope I can be one for you in the future days to come..................Bobby

The turkey is in the oven. Things are under control so I'm taking a moment to say:
Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends and to all our Englishter and Aussie friends, Happy Whatever! :D

I made the potato salad for Robin yesterday, and the deviled eggs. The turkey is thawed this morning, although still pretty cold, almost partly frozen. Bobby was able to get the giblets out, and they are cooking to put in the dressing.
I picked some fresh rosemary and put a small stalk in the pan with the giblets, and will add a little more when i put the stuffing in the turkey and we cook it in the turkey cooker.

My mom always had one of the big electric turkey cookers, and that is what I have always used as well. it does not give you that brown crispy skin; but it does give you a very tender turkey, and that is what we really like.
When the turkey is almost done, I will put the sweet potatoes in the turkey cooker so they will be ready for our dinner when the turkey is done. I found some nice rolls on sale at Walmart. We don’t eat much bread; but we will have some in case we want hot rolls, or we can use them for turkey sandwich later.
So, everything is on schedule here so far, too.

It was a really quiet Thanksgiving this year with some our middle daughter and her family missing from our gathering this year yet we had a nice time together just the same.

As usual there was way to much food that we will be eating on for a few days and along with pies and other desserts we also had a Birthday cake to celebrate one of our granddaughter's November Birthday. The grandkids are growing so fast and all of us are getting older but how blessed we are to have each other and our Thanksgiving together.

It was a quiet but wonderful day today....hope it was a good one for all of you too. :)

It looks like you had a great day this Thanksgiving, @Babs Hunt , and it is wonderful that you get to have so many of your family around you at these holiday times.
We had a nice day, too.
The turkey turned out good, Robin cam over and spent the day with us, so we just relaxed and enjoyed visiting together.
Robin brought Bobby a really nice table saw that she had, and was not using a lot.
Bobby is very happy to have a start on replacing his stolen tools, and he has been checking on Craigslist and also at Harbor Freight Tools , looking for good sales on some of the tools he wants to replace.

Although I didn't have any alcohol, the other adults were having a few drinks and were just glad to finally be able to relax and be on Holiday from their jobs for a few days. :)

My ex (my daughters dad) was supposed to be cutting the ham, turkey, and pork roast...but after eating a bite of the ham for every slice he would cut....I took over the slicing of our meats. :p My mirliton dressing and mixed veggie casserole was a hit and there was very little left of either one of them. But we really did make way to much food as usual. :)

Later in the afternoon my SIL got one of their fire pits going and the kids both big and little were having fun roasting marshmallows over the fire. While our youngest granddaughter entertained us by blowing bubbles for us all...she has finally gotten the hang of it and her little brother could not get enough of popping them almost as fast as she blew them.

I wanted to take lots more pictures but for some reason my camera said my memory card was full...and I know that was not true...so today I will be checking out my camera and seeing what's going on with that. In the meantime here was some of our Thanksgiving feast and desserts that we all enjoyed. :)

So happy Robin joined y'all for Thanksgiving Yvonne. I know that was a joy to all of you. And that was really sweet of Robin to bring Bobby that nice table saw to start replacing his tools. Glad it was a relaxing day for all of you...that's what was nice about our gathering too, it was one of the most relaxing ones we've had in a long time. :)

My ex is always part of our gatherings Cody....as my daughters' father he is always welcome when we get together.

Along time ago after I was happily married again and we had moved back to Louisiana...my ex apologized for his abuse to me and I forgave him. I told him that what was done was done and even though we did not have an example of a good marriage to show our daughters...we could now show them that as their parents and grandparents to our grandchildren, we could show them a good example of these things so that we wouldn't have to have separate Holiday gatherings, etc. And we have kept that promise and our kids and grandkids are all happy we can all get along. He's not my husband anymore so he can not be abusive to me any longer...and it is easy to forgive someone when there is no more abuse. He helped make our beautiful daughters....and I will always "love" and "respect" him for this.
