@Shirley...I saw the split second look on their faces in the interview when they were asked about children...and I thought as you do, that..they are not going to have children. Could be wrong, but I suspect it's likely... She at 36 is the same as princess Diana when she died... not that people don't have their first children at 36 these days, but I fear you may be right..permission may have been given for this marriage to go ahead on the proviso that the blood line isn't compromised...we'll just have to wait and see... but Harry is his own person...so who knows once the Queen dies, things may change out of all expectations with the Royal family..and the way the Monarchy has been conducted for at least the last 100 years...
I think it's just great! She started in social activism when she was 11 and kept at it until sidetracked a bit by her acting career. I suspect that she will be involved in social and humanitarian causes as a Royal. What better way to contribute to humanity?
Imo....there is no pure bloodline in humans. Some like to think that it is possible. I always remember the red headed freckle faced woman on Oprah ...who for whatever reason had dna tested ...guess what.... Her great great grandma was a slave to Thomas Jefferson and he was the father according to records.Bingo
Good grief. @Shirley Martin "...I think Diana was eliminated to prevent her from marrying a dark skinned man. ..." @Holly Saunders "...permission may have been given for this marriage to go ahead on the proviso that the blood line isn't compromised..." WTF? Such disgusting comments.
That's not my opinion...not in any way, do not quote me out of context, I was replying to @Shirley Martin and wondering out loud if that could indeed be why permission was given for the first time ever for a member of the Royal family to marry someone of another race. I agree it would be a horrible disgusting thing if that were to be true, but it's not my opinion... just a supposition in a discussion...anything is possible with the Royal family... let's not forget the way Diana w as treated soon after she started a relationship with a man of a different race..
Oh that is sooo true...there is no pure bloodlines if you go back several hundred years, but the Royal family in recent time...at least the last 200 years have been systematically intent in trying to keep the whole bloodline white and protestant , ..almost incestuously...
Look at her! She is beautiful, smart and charming! A hybrid and hybrids are generally superior in every way to purebreds.
@Arlene Richards , I had considered a long, thoughtful reply to this but I have chosen to ask a short, simple question, instead. Do you think the British royalty would welcome a brown skinned kinky haired child into it's fold?
The Queen and Phil won't be around long enough to worry anyway, Charles had his way in the end and Wills will be all for the union - sorted
Hope this shows up....Meghan is not the first royal of mixed heritage https://www.msn.com/en-ca/entertain...is-person-is/ar-BBFWItv?li=AAggFp5&lang=en-ca
Royal faux pas Princess Michael of Kent wore a piece of Blackamoor jewelry to a Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace. Meghan was also present. It is not known if Meghan saw the broach but they did speak. Very, very insensitive of Princess Michael to choose that particular piece of jewelry to wear to that event. I wonder if she will be reprimanded?
I don't know what 'Blackamoor' is, but it don't look good from what I can see What's that on her head
