"Beauty is only skin deep." My take: Never underestimate the power of caring and genuine friendhip. The person might be covering up some deep-seated problems that've been troubling him/her. Practice discretion in making judgments of other people's character. Whatever ugliness or sadness that's happening internally, a person's face cannot lie.

My dear @Avigail David, your "take" is indeed one of such profound importance and merits much more than a mere "like" but alas, one like is all I am allotted to give. The creases across the brow now made permanent through ages of many of life's challenges but are yet made invisible when one sees the light that still shimmers and dances in that same person's eyes.
