I was at a Gold Star parents / veterans thing yesterday, and exhausted from standing up most of the day, so I guess that's why I slept late.
To tell the truth Ken, I rather enjoyed the situation. I guess there really is a bit of sadist in me because I got some giggles out of the mass paranoia and guilt complexes that seemed to abound this time. Of course, the wording that came forth on the notice actually was reminiscent of a note that one would find on one's locker at work.
...see that's what comes of living the other side of the pond, I don't get invited to any of the good stuff!!
Yeah, but on your side of the world it went off 7 hours before it did where I live and it came back on 7 hours earlier for you than I but since all time is relative, it all went off and on at the same time everywhere. Just like being invited to the little parties. When you do get invited it's always 6 or 7 hours before it was sent.
Thanks for your insightful explanation, Yvonne, particularly for making it clear that Ken oughtn't to be blamed for that scary message "This account..." (which should rather be "This website..") and which, together with the blank avatar of an individual person/member, did indeed give me a bit of a headache. It also appeared to be kind of cynical because it did not include a link with a contact address, as one would have expected, but assumed that the culprit would know whom to contact and how. If I hadn't remembered that confirmation email.... It's also reassuring that Ken would always ask questions before he'd shoot.
