The dolphin viewing boat, a beautiful boat where you get dinner too, unfortunately we didn't get to see any dolphins on this trip The Harbour...where there's many restaurants where we had Chinese food in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the harbour boats...more of those later This boat below is the one we went out Parasailing on... it's taken me 20 years to convince my husband to Parasail with me and this time he did it... He loved it, and the icing on the cake was that we got to have an hour racing through the ocean trying to get out of the crosswinds before taking flight...
More at the Harbour restaurant boat This is a copy of the Columbus's Santa Maria.. which is visiting all the Costas in Spain and it's first day was at the harbour where we were.. lots of people going on to visit , but that was the day we were parasailing so we didn't visit.. This is the water taxi we took to travel by sea from one town to another ..one hour trip... We always sat at the stern because it was the only seats that were padded, and I was able to take photos of people in fron... The view of the surf behind and the beach ...(that's my bag)///
Great pictures, @Holly Saunders. We saw dolphins in the Pongo River a few weeks ago when we were just cruising on the pontoon boat. We were near where the river flows into the Pamlico Sound. Sadly, I didn't have my camera with me.
I regret not taking my camera or my phone up with me when we were Parasailing, Shirley... I thought it was bound to get wet so I left it in the lockers.. but we didn't get wet at all..apart from our feet, so I could have taken it. The crew took a load of photos of us with the intent to sell them to us at £10.. but we got to look at them before buying and decided we didn't like the look of them so we didn't buy them. We were up 250 feet... it was just so serene... Pity you didn't have your camera with you when you saw the dolphins
Oh you're very welcome @Beatrice Taylor , there will be more to come later.. thanks for looking at them...
Thanks, Holly! I look forward to seeing them. I've always dreamed about spending the winter at an all-inclusive extended stay resort in Spain, probably will always be just a dream for me!!!
I'm lucky, I have a home in Spain..I lived there for many years... but I am in the process of selling it now, after having long term tenants installed for the last few years, but my daughter also lives and works in Spain too, although 6 hours from our house..
Holly, when we have a risk of wetting a camera, we take it along in a high-quality zip lock bag. I wouldn't recommend it if you were going to be submerged, but for your rafting and stuff when splashing is an issue, it works fine, but you have to take it out of the bag to shoot photos.
yes that's a good idea Don, but of course when you're parasailing, as we were..you need 2 hands to hold onto the trapeze...
They sell plastic water proof cases for iPhones so you can take pics under water @Don Alaska ....when I went to Maui with my son and his family he bought one and it worked great!
