It is working just fine , @Hal Pollner . If you look on the bottom left, it will read “you like this”, so that means you have added a like to the post. If more people than yourself have put a like on the post, then it will also show the names of the other people who like it, along with you. The reason it changes to a thumbs down is in case you decide that you really didn’t mean to put a like on the post, and if you click the thumbs down icon, then it won’t say that you like the post anymore (on the left side). Try it a couple of times, and you will see how it works.
ya'll must be talking about something else here.. there are no little thumbs on this forum... just like or unlike.

The box is for clicking, though. It doesn't represent what you have already done. If you've already "liked" the post, your only option in the box will be "Unlike" or thumbs-down. That doesn't result in an "unlike" tag, though; it simply removes your previous "like." If you haven't liked it, your only option is to "like" it, or to do nothing at all.
