Do you mean the k cup or the mug that it flows into? One way it's just hot water....the other...a mess.
The mess. The mess isn't as bad as when I forget the carafe while using another type of coffeemaker, though. I learned that on another day - more than once. Fortunately, the one I have downstairs won't drip water if there's no carafe. Sometimes, I forget the water and it just sits there.
Ive done that once...what a mess! And I have white tile with grout...coffee was not easy to clean up.
I once put the coffeemaker on, put the pot on the counter and calmly went outside to work on my plants. I only did it once, though. @Ken Anderson
What I learned this week, similar to something @Bobby Cole posted in another thread... I have stopped watching/listening to the MSM and Yahoo is no longer my internet home page. Having all the political rhetoric and hysteria fade into the background has made a marked improvement in my outlook.
@Bess Barber My Dad often talked about Solo Cup Co. He built some of the first dies which blanked the semi-circular shaped pieces of paper which formed the sides of the cup. He never mentioned the bottoms; they were likely quite easy. Here's a ditty showing today's machinery making paper cups. The dies still blank the parts from paper, but views are mostly hidden. One shot shows the stacks of cut sides being off-loaded by hand. Bear in mind that originally all the work shown being performed automatically was done in separate steps, by hand! Interesting to note that leaky cups DO happen, and checks are done periodically. Have you ever had a drink served to you with a leaky paper cup? I can't remember a single instance! Frank

From a true crime show, I learned that if I should ever decide to commit a murder, I should be careful not to drop my wallet at the body-dump scene. I'll try to remember that. Then again, maybe it was a trade. The killer took the victim's wallet, using his credit card at an ATM, but left his own wallet.
