Oh dear, I'm sorry you didn't get to see someone who is a specialist in their job, she clearly is not ....that's not helped at all has it..? I know what it;s like..you get pain, you build it up in your mind, the pain is very real but because you don't know what's causing it or ever had anything like it before.. your mind tells you it HAS to be something life threatening...and the anxiety gets worse.. Chrissy I'm no therapist, but I really feel your anxiety may be causing your physical pain rather than the other way around, BUT until you get a professional to look and see and give you assurance and calm your fears , you will continue to be anxious and potentially your pain will increase...Viscous circle unfortunately Well both of us will find out on Monday what's causing the problems..... do try and stay as calm as you can, easy to say I know, but do try...
Thanks @Don Alaska ...there is a yoga plac eroght next to Curves but it's HOT yoga....think I'd die in there. @Yvonne Smith ..ive tried the tapping..I remembered it. Didn't work...this is the most anxious Ive been in years. I do have Xanax but only take it occasionally because it makes me sleep during the day....I save it for night. Even that doesn't help as much as it should.
Do you feel able to drive to your daughter’s house for the weekend ? Then, at least you would not be all alone and since your eye appointment is not until 4pm on Monday, you could just drive home Monday morning after your daughter goes to work. Probably, just being around your family would help with the stress as much as anything would.
No, I'm not up to it now and besides she's moving my grandson back to college this weekend. I'm lucky I make it to Curves and the store lately.
I’ve thoroughly read through the thread and found that there really isn’t anything that I can say that hasn’t already been said or suggested except one small thing. Several visual logic puzzles and tests not excluding parts of an IQ test are made in such a way that everyone sees them a little differently. In a way, our brains interpret what has been seen but only what it has been taught to see. There is no way I am going to see some of them the same as someone else who reasons differently than I do. I have found @Chrissy Cross that you do have an amazing brain. You’re able to reason out some things whereas others are stumped and can’t see beyond what is actually there which makes you a darn good detective of sorts. In short, you not only reason and apply a better logic to some things but (forgive me if I am wrong) you also physically see things a little differently than other people. I KNOW FOR A FACT that I do. What I am attempting to get at is until you visit your eye doctor, do NOT stress over what a cardboard and across the board interpretation of what you see be a written in stone thing for you. My goodness, I had one internet examination result that said I was a Harvard law school graduate whilst still another practically placed me on the planet of the apes. Thank goodness I already had my IQ test taken by a professional (twice) and know what it is but the online stuff is so inaccurate that if I had not already known, I might have thought I am a verified idiot or have a brain tumor. Relax dear heart and have a small sherry, know that you are much loved and even try to giggle a little. Do note that all that anxiety, no matter how much you have, will not cure anything even IF there is really anything dramatically wrong with you except for whatever small things come with a bit of age. NOT that you look a day older than say...30 or anything but even at thirty, things still go awry at times. At any rate, my prayers are always with you Chrissy and I will be anxious to have a small party Monday afternoon when you tell us that all is well................
I hope you are feeling better today. Be strong and focus your energy on positive thinking. " This, too, shall pass". Things will improve, you'll see.
i had the same problem with my eyes--wavy and i would be watching t v and could only see half of the peoples faces--i went to the dr and it was cataracs --i had them removed and later got this blurry in my eyes(year later) and had to go for another check up--it was scar tissue from where i had the cataracs removed- so i had lasik done and i am fine--you will be ok crissy
