I have perceived lately as I run the gamut of my forums that I may be giving in to ego-driven remarks, positions relating to some stated point or opinion, even questioning others' advice on the more technical forums. Would you say this is evident of my behavior here? Don't hold back! I have all my life taken great care not to succumb to ego, believing it was more important to control my mind than my "front". Lately, I'm not so sure.... Frank
No. If it were, you wouldn't be asking that question (imo), you'd be lecturing us on how things are. lol
@Ken Anderson So,.....you had to beat 'em all to the punch, eh? Well, I asked for it! Remember now, I'm like the proverbial elephant! Now, I dissect: "regular": meaning often repeating, or rather just "in general"? The rectal area being a soft and tender place, inflicting pain there is very easy. Frank
@Joe Riley , ROFLOL! That's the kind of joke I really enjoy. @Frank Sanoica , I think it's more self assurance than ego.
..and the reason I'm not answering the question Frank is because you actually DO dissect everything... ..or as we say here, ''you want to know the ins and outs of a ducks ass'' ... but I think you're an intelligent good guy overall... just maybe a little intense sometimes.. well.. ya did ask..and no don't ask me to ''explain''...
Frank we all love your input. When you disagree with me it probably because I have something to learn. You make a good teacher.
I don't know what to tell you, @Frank Sanoica. You seem like an intelligent, opinionated guy with a wide range of experience. I seldom find your opinions or posts offensive at all, but sometimes we all are a little self-centered.
@Martin Alonzo Thank you kindly! Actually, I always feel the need to promote understanding, if it's about something I understand deeply, probably technical more than any other, but do not regard it as "teaching": that I did for only one school year, in rural Missouri, 6 high school Math courses daily, and it was almost drudgery, too much for one person. Still, as I told my old friend Charley last Thursday as we commiserated in my shop, I was explaining to him, he a Masters Degree in Engineering, how the several different kinds of fluorescent lighting tubes work, that I fear all this technical knowledge I've accumulated over a lifetime, will soon "go away" along with me. That is likely why I seem to always be explaining something! Frank
