Hearing is getting gradually worse, tinnitus increasingly loud. But I won't be like my parents, who denied it, and blamed everyone else for mumbling. I don't run anymore. Can't get started. I notice it trying to cross the street quickly. Possibly if I ever got started, downhill, I could run, but I think my knees would let me know afterward.
My hearing is diminishing too. I can no longer find a really comfortable pair of shoes for my older feet. It takes me so much longer to do the things I used to be able to do in such a short amount of time...and I can't get as much done in one day as I used to also. I have lost my appetite for most things now too. The list could go on and on....but it won't because even with the signs of aging that I notice...I am still just thankful to be alive and to be loved.
Realising that profound plans for ten years ahead have no meaning. Planning has taken over from doing. Realising that people are too intent on worrying about how they look to notice you have two different shoes. Exercising the privilege of being offensive
I understand what you're saying Babs, but still it's a lot when you're still relatively young I feel...,
