My vote goes to Rosalynn Carter. (During her White House years, not after)

I'll bite. A toss up, between Jackie Kennedy and Melania Trump.

Don't remember those before Eleanor Roosevelt.

It is said that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder so I’ll go out on the proverbial limb and say, Melania.
Other than the fact that she is indeed gorgeous looking, she’s a lady in every respect.
She stands erect, head held high and with an air of pride. She doesn’t seem to need a lot of pampering from staff members and as a matter of fact, she uses less staff than her more recent predecessors did.
She is extremely intelligent and was the master of her own fate and doing well with it prior to meeting D. Trump.
She speaks 6+ languages which gives her an edge when it comes to European and U.S. relationships and again, she’s smart.
As a mother, it looks as though she is doing quite well and in the same line as one sees in the Kennedy standards of child rearing.

A total class act in my somewhat limited opinion.

I agree with everything that you have said about Melania Trump, and the only other one that I am thinking about would be Jackie Kennedy. Also a beautiful, articulate and highly intelligent person, she was a total attribute to her husband in her role as First Lady, just as Melania Trump is for her husband.
The OP asks which First Lady do we think was the most attractive, and like @Nancy Hart , I would have a hard time choosing between these two ladies, just on that merit.
However, when I look at everything; to me, nothing can touch the bravery and courage of Jacqueline Kennedy having to go through seeing her husband assassinated right beside her, and then all of the state funeral ceremonies that followed. When most women would have collapsed from that kind of loss and grief, she didn’t.
She , and her children , stood like champions, and gave her courage to the whole country. In my book, that makes her a hero.

And Yvonne, she was only 34 years old at the time! That's so young by today's standards, where we act like kids most of our lives.

Not too up on president's wives... Clinton, Obama, Reagan, Bush ..and way back Kennedy because she ultimately made a life for herself as a European princess, otherwise I wouldn't know her at all... so in all honesty, I agree, Melania Trump is by far the prettiest presidents wife.

Whether she's the 'nicest' is anyone's guess!!

It would be between Jackie Kennedy, Nancy Reagan (When she was young) and Melania Trump. If I was forced to chose one, I would chose Melania.

Melania Trump, followed by Nancy Reagan, then Abigail Adams. I don't remember farther back than these.

I'd say Melania Trump too. You may remember that she originally didn't even want to move to the White House, wanted no staff, and wasn't really interested in the "duties of a First Lady." She didn't need or want any of that, but she's been doing quite well, despite constant media attacks.

I'll still take Rosalynn Carter, because she seemed quiet and demure, not flashy.

I go with Melania but if I'm being very picky I don't like her eyes.

Love her figure, style and hair!

I think she's doing a great job as First Lady, I'm sure it's not easy for her.

Trump could take behavior lessons from her................:)

Of the First Ladies from the Kennedy administration to the present, who was your favorite?

Mine was Rosalyn Carter, even though husband Jimmy was an ineffectual leader.

She was also the most pro-working-class First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt.

I'll have to say Melania Trump. She has shown true elegance in the face of some horrific press.
