'Woman in love' was the first grown up song I sang to me Dad I looked like Shirley Temple with a woman's voice !
I can remember when I first heard the song “Mule Train”, and I just loved that song. I think I must have been pretty young still when it came out, but I remember running over to the big old-fashioned radio to listen to this song each time it came on. I remember most of the songs posted here, but it was Gene Autry that I remember singing the Navaho Trail one. Ghost Riders in the Sky was another great favorite of mine, as well as the unforgettable High Noon. Frankie Laine just had a great voice, and sang the songs that showed it to his best advantage.
Frankie Laine was the only singer, that I heard my Mum say she liked. One of her favorites was "I'll take care of your cares, for "you-oo".
The voice singing the High Noon theme song in the Movie was Tex Ritter's voice, not Frankie Laine's. My favorite song sung by F. L. was "Mule Train". Hal
