Looking back, seems I was a easy mark as a consumer. High school started with Canoe in Hawaii, followed by English Leather and British Sterling cologne. Somewhere in the mix was Stetson cologne. Show me a TV ad and I'll give it a shot. Now I sometimes use the new one, Blueprint 203, a Sandalwood and Vetiver cologne. Wife likes it and I don't mind the smell.
"Vetiver is a root oil that is jam packed with therapeutic properties. This oil is known for its abilities to promote relaxation and balance. Vetiver is very popular to use before bedtime to help calm the mind. It has a very strong aroma that has a earthy, woodsy, smoky scent, but is pleasant to the senses."
I have always love the scent of English Leather on my man. One scent that I can't deal with is Patchouli oil. It's horrible and it seems people who insist on wearing don't wear it lightly.
Magnolia flowers smell great. I once read where an actress who grew them, put one in her pocket, instead of using cologne. Used to like a lemon scented cologne when I was young. Also Chanel No 5.
COACH FOR MEN Eau de Toilette evokes a sense of freedom that comes from the energy and spontaneity of New York City. Masculine yet refined, the fragrance starts with cool, fresh green nashi pear, contrasted with spicy cardamom, and finishes with a textured vetiver note, creating a woody scent.
$21 for something the SMELLS like whiskey? "Our Beechwood Bourbon scent captures the spirit of a summer afternoon spent sipping a tall tumbler of whisky on the porch of a lakeside cabin. "
My husband has worn Halston Z-14 for well over 30 years. It used to be an expensive "department store" brand but now it's at Walmart and on Amazon for cheap. He still wears it, regardless. Like many of you, my dad also wore Old Spice; I still love that smell. Miss you, Daddy.
