I loved watching the wedding and the love that shone between Harry and Meghan. I felt sad watching her Mom sit all by herself and wished she had brought a friend to sit with her. I liked Meghan's dress but thought it needed a little "more" to make it really special...it was just a little to plain for me. I'm glad to see the Queen is allowing her grandchildren to marry for love and not just for duty anymore. I think the tragedy of Diana and Charles finally made the Queen realize some things needed to change and with wisdom and grace she has been making some of those changes. I'm sure Harry and Meghan will have children and if one comes out dark skinned there will probably be talk, etc...but then there will always be talk...even if Harry hadn't married someone who is bi-racial. I pray they will have a lifetime of happiness together.
I think so too - she has also seen the anguish of the boys as they grew to men The change I am seeing is very welcome
I agree with both of you @Patsy Faye and @Babs Hunt The queen has 3 of 4 children divorced. Seems the next generation is doing better though Charles and Anne found happiness after divorce it seems. I remember seeing a paper headline in Britain after Charles and Camilla wed. It stated: Finally!
Here is her coat of Arms....I like it! You probably will also @Kitty Carmel London (CNN)The Duchess of Sussex has been bestowed with a coat of arms, days after her royal wedding to Prince Harry, Kensington Palace announced Friday. Emblazoned with personal touches like the golden poppies from her home state, California, and wintersweet, which grows at her new residence, Kensington Palace, the coat of arms was designed by the College of Arms and approved by Britain's Queen Elizabeth. The blue background of the shield itself represents the Pacific Ocean off the Californian coast, while the two golden rays across the shield are symbolic of the Golden State.
Well, I'm a bit surprised, tbh, that you mentioned Amal Clooney but none of you has said a word about Kitty Spencer so far. She, too, was part of the Royal Wedding and, if you ask me, outshined everyone else present. She simply looked amazing in her green (Dolce and Gabbana?) dress with a large floral pattern and a feathered cap and those orange shoes. It was breathtaking, wasn't it? I can't post a picture here but I'm sure you'll find plenty of photos of her on Google. Looking good is in the genes of the Spencers as it seems. The male counterpart, her brother, is also a handsome guy and still on the market I understand.
Yes, she's very pretty but her dress is not my style or taste...and I would look horrid in it. It just draws attention to her Bottom half and away from her lovely face.
Thanks, Chrissy. Exactly what... Just out of curiosity, how can you post that picture of her? Is it licence free? Well, less, (i.e. fewer flowers) would probably have been more but the color and the hat looked beautiful on her.
I just googled an image of her at the royal wedding and a whole bunch came up and I chose this one and posted it. There's no watermark or copyright on the pic so I assume I can post it...I don't really worry too much about that though.
@Thomas Stearn - yes lovely colour, suits her well just a little too floral but I agree she deserved a mention
I saw something on my newsfeed about Meghan's family not liking the coat of arms. These people won't let anything go!
I believe the Firm had Diana killed, too! My kids sigh and say i'm a conspiracy theorist. However, how suspicious was it??? Just my opinion.
