Some or all of you may have received a Nigerian-spam type "conversation" message from an Edward Effah, who just created an account here today. He even sent one to my Admin account. He has been banned so, while his name still shows as a forum member, he cannot log in, at least not under that account, or create another account using the same ISP number. With spammers, it's more effective to ban them than the delete their memberships because the latter just allows them to create another membership from the same ISP number. In a few months, I'll delete the account itself and, long before then, he will be on to another forum. Sorry about that. My security software does a pretty good job of keeping the automated spambots out but it cannot determine someone's intent when they create an actual member account.

If I received something, I wouldn't know it, or rather, where to find it. :(
I guess I am missing some of the uses of the board. ... how do you send messages to one another on the board?

@Bonnie Thomas , tap on a members avatar, and when their profile box pops up, tap "Start A Conversation'. If I remember right it will let you set the conversation for private at the bottom where you write your message.

He was banned before he could send one to everyone, I think, because the forum indicated that he was still in "conversation" when I banned him.

I learned something new. When I ban someone, they don't show up as members to other members anymore, but they do still show up in my administrative account, in the event that I might want to un-ban them at some point, which won't happen with this guy.

$9 million split 60/40!!!????!!! And you banned him?? Well, I'll take a FREE $3.6 million any day. I'm rich!!! I'm rich!!!! See ya suckas!!!!:D:D

It's difficult to believe people still bite on these scams. Most who do bite, don't have the money to lose that these scammers take. If ever there should be candidates for firing squads.............

Oh wow a spammer here...that's awful, so I'm glad that the spammer was caught quickly. I've no time for spammers or scammers at all. Thanks very much Ken!
