Y'know, Cody, if I had moaned and groaned as much about Jacksonville and Florida as you did and bleated on and on about how much of a paradise Colorado was going to be, I'd be embarrassed to show my face on here to start a new round of complaining about the choice I had made.

I predict in another year or so, we'll be hearing about what's bad about Cheyenne. You do know, don't you, that there are people in Cheyenne who have tattoos, who are gay and who might be wearing mismatched socks? Where will you move to, then? They're everywhere..... Even in Calgary, you might run into someone at the Stampede wearing the wrong make of hat.

Time to change the record, Dude. This one is getting really scratched.

I believe there are two ways in accepting things that you don't like (1) Accept it as it is and move on and (2) accept that you don't like it and move on.

This lines up with the AA's prayer to accept the things I can't change.

Yiddish Proverb: If there were only two people on earth, who is to say which one is right.

No one really has the authority to insist other people be like them. You don't have to agree with them or follow them or become like them, but you DO have to respect their right to be different than you.

You all may have heard it before, but I've reinvented myself today, so I wanna hear it for the first time..... :D:D

Actually in all seriousness I thought we were going to hear something different this time... but anyway I still defend his right to complain about his dislikes, even if we don't like it..lol

We are legal residents! Have a Drivers License, which requires a legal residence. I'd really think you'd know that. When asked, Seniors here have no problem at all telling me their feelings about the area and the changes they don't like.

Everyone on here knows that numerous members here complain about different things. We are all Seniors and have that right to complain.

    Ok, here's more:

People who aren't handicapped, but will park in a Handicap Only spot.

People who don't pick up their dog poop.

Things that are on tv today.

People who don't care who's around them and will say any cuss word they want to.

Ok, now anybody else can think of something. I know we ALL have some kind of complaint about something we don't like.

As far as where we now currently live, and the complaints we have about here, that some definitely match the people that have been living here for years, we will have to take care of those complaints ourselves.

Stopped at a large liquor store on our way home, and from the back of the store, a young girl comes to the register (cashier) with long spiked Mohawk hair of 3 different colors and tattoos all over both arms and on her neck. Hideous, just plain hideous!!

@Cody Fousnaugh it sounds like the seniors mentioned haven't stepped up to make a difference in changing what they don't like over the course of their residency which has been what - years? instead they seem to be okay with complaining about things they don't like.

Yvonne and Bobby think it's just wife and I that have a problem with this city, whereas it's a lot of Seniors that have lived here for years that see the same problems.

Yvonne and Bobby don't exactly live in the most nicest area of the U.S., but it's their choice not to move. All I hear coming from Bobby is "having a gun ready for anything/everything that might happen". We definitely don't live in that type of area.

Ok, Von, just what are the Seniors here suppose to do about the changes they've seen and not like? It was up to the city council to allow tattoo parlors to open here, not up to the Seniors that live here. The 30 and 35 mph speed limits here, which young folks hate, aren't going to be changed to 65 or above, just because the young generation believes more in speed than safety.
Loveland isn't Denver or Los Angeles, but many Seniors here see it turning that way fast.

Just seems like whenever I complain about something, even if it is a repeat, I get chastised for it, while there are so many threads and replies on this forum doing the very same thing...……...and they don't get that kind of treatment.

To us, Loveland is much better than Jacksonville could ever be, but just don't know how many more years that will stay that way. We moved here for one reason and one reason only...…...lake boating/fishing.
