Don't think I have mentioned it but I have a broken chipped bone in my shoulder and doing rehab exercises. My best friend, my ex doctor and neighbor, told me today when I got back from rehab it was my day to get helped not hers, I have been her carer since her accident requiring 92 days in a hospital, she is confined to a wheel chair for life after a violent attack on her from an illegal sometime back. I had a lunch cooked for me waiting, dogs and animals fed, (she got neighbors to feed the cattle and horses) to dangerous for her, she did dogs and cat. Then an invite to the hot tub in the after noon, the house smelled great as she hid supper in the bathroom cooking in a crock pot where I would not see it as I came in. Even a shoulder rubdown with vet strength Asorbine not the drugstore one. Cleaned all up and watched a movie I liked with me tonight, I just got the last news asked as she knows I love to do this to go later at 11pm to another close town to get a hot donut! My best friend...…………….
@Tex Dennis You sound like you are really enjoying spending time with a very special person!! Those kind rarely come along.
Thanks also add she is German what started it all was a mention of my German uncle then when she was attacked I was the one she called for help before the police then all just fell into place, crawled 45 min to her purse and cell phone to call almost beat to death.
I honestly realized not to many years back that I was put here to help others and believe that and do so.
There is not much I have not done on my mare, her best was loading and unloading from a trailer unassisted by voice commands also an instant stop by just saying stop, no bridle, saddle or anything but a string on her neck and could ride her without anything at all and have done so many times. She is in retirement just behind the house getting fat.
All winter feed and hay all stored here just my normal operating here, big mower still in the shop another week I may or may not need to mow again depends on weather we get, all fences repaired and my days are for the most just feeding till spring calving hits. Our weather is starting to change for the better thankfully.
The highlight of my day is feeding cubes in the evening and when the cattle show up for the count to be correct, I feed cubes only every 3 days now and in the evenings only, we have already got round bales out but they are still grazing well, as always mineral salt blocks also.
