Time has always past much too fast for me. I always worked on jobs where time was of the essence. After retirement, hobbies kept me busy until recently. Now I spent time on here, emails, and doing research and time still flies. I never knew bored.
@Beth Gallagher I'm in the same spot as you Beth. Never seems to be enough hours in a day. Could be the age thing, remember so many comments over the years...the older you get, the faster time goes....wish that was wrong.
I agree, Micki, I am always playing catch-up with time. And as we get older, there never seems to be enough of it.
Days, weeks, months, and years seem to be passing by far too quickly. As they say, time flies when you're perfect. Okay, that's not really what they say but I like it better my way.
Of course time flies when you're younger, and fitter, but when you're older and unable to get around much then time is bound to drag, and it must be very frustrating and maybe depressing knowing it's now longer easy to get up and make time fly by as it once did... so I feel for anyone in Lon's position, but thank Goodness for the internet and the chat forums. Things would be so much worse for the elderly, and housebound without this ...
If the weather is nice still, you could take a good book and go outside. Saw online, 3.5 pound hiking chair that supports 250 pounds. I used to frequently drive past a senior residence and see all the empty rockers on the porch. Seems like the perfect place to spend at least part of a sunny day. Yard swings - even better.
time goes too fast for me ---i live with my daughter--s-i--l and grandson --when iam doing any work arround the house i have to wait till they move out of the way--in the meantime i crochet --my daughter gets home from work at 2 so we eat dinner than i clean up the kitchen then get on here
I've been wanting to learn to crochet. My mom used to make the nicest throw blankets until she got carpal tunnel. I'm sure your family loves your works of art.
I used to crochet a lot when my daughter was little. I had more blankets and scarves than you could throw a stick at lol.... I haven't crocheted for years and probably now I have the OA in my hands , it might be too painful for me... but you should try it Bess, it's very easy to do.... easier than knitting IMO...
Unfortunately the Air Quality in this part of California does not encourage sitting outside for very long.
