@Bess Barber , Southern girls don't need eye liner. Besides, if I tried to use it, I'd poke my eye out.
I think I spent $15.00 total on gifts for everyone around me and still managed to get a few choice things for myself! For me this included a 1.74 liter bottle of V.O., bottles Compari, Frangelico, Chambord, and a tasty Merlo, while a couple were gifted to others (all for free). Several Cuban cigars: 5 Cohiba, 1 Monte Cristo, and 3 ancient Punch cubanos, and a stainless steel guillotine for them (spent maybe $2 total). Also picked up a spotless zebrawood humidor to keep them in (priceless... meaning free). Weird thing is some anonymous person/people sent sent my brother a few packages addressed to me... one package containing a rather nice cigar lighter with built in punch cutter! So yes, made out much better this Christmas than years past. Now as far as the low price gifting goes, I'm a keen shopper - friendly with the local resale establishments so there are economical opportunities for great finds. This includes some art, books, tech equipment, a singing bowl, as well as some clothes. All sealed brand new with tags or warranty.
Nope sorry Bobby...it's a must for you... some people not mentioning any names Bobby Cole, just NEED eye make-up....
We had an interesting day today. We didn’t really do presents, except Bobby got me the Opalite necklace, and we got Robin one with a tree crafted in copper and decorated with crystals. However, we helped spend almost $2,600 today, which was pretty unusual and lots of fun ! Because of her MS meds, Robin has one of those plans with her insurance where they deduct money for her medication each month. Anything that is left over at the end of the year, she loses, and she had over $2,600 in the account. We looked through the booklet that she can order from and ordered some great medical equipment for Robin and for us as well. We got things like special arthritis gloves, and bands that help your back pain, a gadget that you put your feet on and it gives them a massage and stimulates the circulation in your feet, and other stuff that I don’t remember right now. I got a pair of reading glasses that folds up and clips onto your keychain and a pair that fits on the back of the iPhone, so I should always be able to find my reading glasses when I need them now. Anyway, we got a great variety of “presents” for ourselves, thanks to Robin, and enjoyed checking everything out.
You can get tattooed eyeliner now. I might go for that. Once and done. Otherwise eyeliner is too much trouble. Eventually anyone you care about will see you without it anyway. So why try to fool them? lol Now, if you were going to a class reunion, it might be a different story.
The last thing that I bought myself for Christmas but before Christmas years ago was a beautiful black wool pea coat with nice pewter puttons. I still have it. I crocheted several different matching sets of hats and scarves to wear with it. I was riding public transportation back then and got compliments all the time.
I actually thought about doing that! I'm just afraid without skin being as supple as it once was, it may cause a droop or something. Other than my daughter, and this would be a rare occasion, no one has ever seen me without eyeliner in decades. There is a reason why I get up long before the crack of dawn. It's just a 'thing' for me. For anyone who cares, don't do a cat eye after your older. Start at the last lash, go straight up, then make a small triangle down (about 1/5 an eye lid over). This will lift your eyes up.
