Joy of a Senior Forum, we all understand that. You have a lovely family. I'm partial to the collie though. What a pretty dog!
Yvonne, what a lovely Pequeno Perrito Blanco! (Small White Dog) Poodles are indeed intelligent! If you took a Poodle and a Jack Russel Terrier and set them down at a table, they could deal cards! Congratulations on your new member of the Smith household! Hal
Meet my best friend, Marley on National Dog Day this past fall. She is a "Shollie," half German Shepherd and half Border Collie. What a sweet disposition this dog has. I've had dogs all my life, and she is the gentlest ever. Just beginning to get very gray and white though. I think she's aging quickly being around all us seniors.
@Lois Winters Big congratulations....She's beautiful....she looks like she's going to be the angel of your life....i'm sure you'll both be happy to have each other. .
Thankfully, she is not like the Marley of the film or book. I did have a blond Lab whose name was Topaz, but boy, he was that Marley to a tee. What a handful, but lovable nonetheless. Marley will have to go to the vet for some surgery. She had a small nodule below one of her back teats, and now it just blew up overnight. I think it is probably cystic in nature, but we shall see. Praying it is not serious.
Miki I see you have a sheltie.. what is his /her name. My all time 'best friend' was a sheltie.. Pepsie. He had a wonderful disposition and the fact he was lame most of his life never seemed to alter that.
