While we're arguing over whether to wear a mask, not wear a mask, or require everyone to wear a mask, a group of people are working to have pedophilia recognized as a legitimate sexual orientation. One way in which this is being done should be no surprise since it involves changing the name. Rather than referring to the pedophile as a pedophile or as a pervert, we are to consider them to be age fluid. Thus, a 30-year-old male could identify as an 8-year-old boy and, as such, we shouldn't be alarmed over his attraction to an 8-year-old girl. After all, it's not a crime; it's an orientation. Combined with gender fluidity, which has already been widely accepted, a 30-year-old man could identify as an 8-year-old girl and be attracted to an 8-year-old boy. It's not just NAMBLA now. The movement is taking the same route that was followed by the gay rights movement, and most of us can remember when it didn't seem like that would be something that would ever get traction, politically. I believe that pedophilia is only considered to be a mental disorder now if the pedophile is bothered by it.
You know, a few years ago I joked that this would be the next group to whine about their "rights." Sadly, it won't surprise me if they succeed. Once headed down that slippery slope, society is doomed.
True..but assuming.the adult is consensual that is not the same thing..to me as having a fluid thought about a child.
I wonder if I tell the people at the ticket booth at Disney World that I'm age-fluid and identify myself as a 2-year-old girl, could I get in for free? I'd even wear a diaper (not a bad idea for standing in line for two hours). If they deny me, can I sue them? Of course, that would involve going to Disney World......

I think they've already taken the first step toward doing that, a few years ago. I can't do it right now because I have some things to do before going to bed tonight, but I'll try to remember to look into it tomorrow.
It was done for homosexuality, solely based on political pressure. This is not a treatise on the nature of homosexuality; rather, it is a factual observation on the lack of standards behind the DSM. There was no new data presented. There was only pressure applied.
Yeh, I did a cursory look regarding the DSM and found that the RSM5 made a distinction between Pedophilia and Pedophilic Disorder, but it's too late in the evening (morning?) to wade through the stuff to see the distinction. Poor kids. Talk about a fast track to destroying the world.
