My friend Charlie has sent me a book, with strong recommendation that I read it. "Turning the Tide. A History of the Modern World", by Dr. Adrian H. Krieg.

Have you ever heard of it?

I skimmed the entire book this afternoon. It's overall premise is that TRUTH is formidably evasive, when it comes to historical documentation and the everyday operations of nations' leaderships.

I will add chosen topics in retrospect, taken from it's contents. Save to say for now, his revelations are hair-raising, but not unbelievable.

I look forward to your commentary, Frank.

Funny, I only see 2 "alternative" book sources for this. Amazon does not carry it. Heck, I recently bought "Murder at Green Springs" there, and that's just a local story about a controversial homicide that happened in my rural county in the early 1900s.

I thought you might like to read the author's background.

He's very interesting. The guy is an engineer. Holds many patents. Written many books. Dual Swiss/American citizenship.

On AL GORE: 1992 published a ghost-written book "Earth in the Balance". It had almost no footnotes, many false assumptions, scientific mistakes, and falsifications. Al Gore flunked out of Harvard, his father was senior US Senator from Tennessee, and was "bagman" for Armand Hammar, Stalin's "man in our government". After Harvard kicked out Gore Sr.'s son, Hammar gave Harvard a new dormitory and Little Al went back and was given a degree!

Earth in the Balance maintained that CO2 in the atmosphere was the cause of destruction of the world's forests, the "Greenhouse Effect". Real observations prove CO2 is NOT a factor in climatic changes. A presiding judge in UK ruled for the school science class in debunking the prediction that oceans would wise 20 feet by 2100 as not supported by any scientific evidence.

Another Gore fabrication was the Ozone Hole destruction by Freon gas, which is so much heavier than air it floats along the ground. Carrying it aloft to great altitudes is an unimaginable premise. This premise brought the prestigious NASA into the picture (and garnered furthered enormous funding for it) when it "discovered" an ozone hole above the Arctic Circle. The ozone is naturally produced by Mother Nature, and is itself regulated by the Seasons themselves. Of course, in the course of dire concern, Freon was banned, and a new replacement for it was developed by E. I. DuPont, further filling their coffers.

A bunch of conmen gaining much wealth from this "Green Movement" produced and squandered enormous amounts of money. Dr. Chu as head of the Department of Energy from 2008-2014 doled out $6 Billion to green companies, all of which went bankrupt. Federal government energy subsidies for 2011 were $24 Billion. Federal Emergency loan program spent $30 Billion in the Obama administration.

I bet over 90% of those dollars got cycled back to the DNC in one form or another.

The abject corruption of that party and the extreme sincerity of its adherents is frightening.

On Banking "running America": A 1910 meeting held on Jekyll Island, Georgia, a private hunting area, was attended by a group of men transported there by a private non-stop train from New Jersey. They included Paul Wartburg, Benjamin Strong of J.P. Morgan, Charles Norton Pres. of First National Bank of New York, Frank Vanderlip President of National Bank of New York, Kuhn & Loeb, William Rockefeller, Abraham Andrew assistant Secretary of the US Treasury, and Nelson Aldrich, father in law of John D. Rockefeller, Jr., and chairman of the powerful National Monetary Commission. They wrote the 16th. Amendment to the Constitution there, which was signed by Wilson on Feb 3, 1913. These men jointly owned ONE-SIXTH of the entire world wealth! This spelled the end of State Banks, and gave rise to multinational institutions that have come to represent the banking industry in this century.

People do not believe the truth. They cannot handle the truth when presented in big scenarios - they have been lied to all their lives, and it takes realizing that they were lied to, and a desire to seek the truth, to even start learning the truth
about almost anything - perhaps about anything - politics, economics, education, religion, drug lords/makers/ banking, stock markets, retirement(s), investments, etc etc etc ....
As long as they continue to desire money before truth, darkness fills their whole self.

For basic examples: most all the wars were started by the same non-helpful, non-friendly, source, in order to provoke confusion and battles and dissension, in order to gain power under their own umbrella, eventually, in small or humongous bytes.

Most all the governments, if not all, are subjects of that same non-helpful, non-friendly source.

It cannot be healed nor corrected, until ......
(men cannot fix it, except if chosen and called, and then only in their own lives (not even in their family's , unless chosen, and then it is not men fixing it) )

I believe that for the masses, the motive is more chilling: They desire the illusion of security, even knowing that it is an illusion. And that desire transcends how they choose to consciously lie to themselves...they demand that everyone else collude in the lie. At that point, honest men (not all-knowing men, just men seeking Truth) become the tangible, visible enemy of their security.

    For the masses, ambiguity=insecurity.
    It's dangerously external-oriented.

This is , yes, the most common seen behavior and even spoken desires of those in the world system.
It surprised me greatly when people from truck drivers, to waiters, to doctors, and pastors, all agreed with each other that everyone lies and must lie to keep the world going, to get ahead or to be accepted in any job in the world, even religion.

We have lost our willingness/ability to deal with ambiguity (which is another way of saying "security.") We have literally turned ourselves into 2 year old children who cannot tolerate the slightest disruption, even as we consciously realize that "certainty" is built upon lies and illusions.

Perhaps this is the state of being that cultures achieve right before they collapse. We turn on each other as our individual freedoms disrupt the mind-numbed collective, so our autonomy is exchanged in return for the comfort of childhood. Some willingly give it up, while the rest of us have it stolen from us.

I agree. So it means that people can't handle the truth. They seek certainty and confirmation and do not allow anyone to rock the boat. And this desire has been taken into account by those in power for millenniums:
"For one can say of man in general that they are ungrateful, fickle, insincere, hypocritical, fearful, and greedy; and as long as you do them good, they are fully devoted to you: they offer you their blood, their possessions, their life, and their children, if - as I have said above - misery is far away; but if it comes closer to them, they tend to revolt." (Machiavelli, Il Principe)
IOW, people need to be lied to. We should not blame politicians but first and foremost ourselves. Unfortunately, this is exactly what a number of people do not want to hear.
A recent case in point is the pandemic. Over here people didn't want to be disturbed, didn't want to hear that there'll be a long stony road ahead of them that would call for a marathon runner. No, all they were willing to accept was a sprint. As often, that's why the inconvenient truth that restrictions are going to last for a couple of months or even a year had to be drip-fed into them. And that's just one example.
