Blind Obedience wouldn't be any fun for our overlords if it had even a hint of sanity. I'm glad the nurses are standing up for common sense. That justifies the "Heroes [and Heroines] Work Here" banners.

I'm glad Michelle's doing OK. No news is good news, except for the lingering unanswered questions.

There must be some good reason that they are keeping Michelle and doing more tests, since she is feeling okay again ? It sounds like you are saying that they did some tests, and whatever they found made them decide that they needed to do more tests.
Do you know what tests they already did, and which ones she is scheduled for tomorrow ?
Hoping and praying that all of the tests turn out okay, but I think that you should be considering that there is something that they found that makes the doctors need to learn more about her heart function, and if they do find something wrong, they will probably be keeping her there for a heart procedure, or at least medication for her heart.

Only joking Ken. I told the doctor I hope you find something wrong because I would hate to feel this way with nothing wrong

The testing is done and they have ruled out a heart problem. They don't know what caused the symptoms and will try to figure that out, but I think she'll be coming home tomorrow. In a seminar that I attended while I was a paramedic, a cardiologist told us that there were more than sixty things that could cause the signs and symptoms of a heart attack, but they consider these signs and symptoms to be a heart attack until that is ruled out.

Out of curiosity, Ken, were you an EMT before becoming a Paramedic?

I was an EMT and an EMT-Special Skills (now known as EMT-Intermediate) before I was a paramedic, but I started EMT-SS class within a few months of becoming an EMT, and went right on to paramedic from there.

Not to change your thread here, and, btw, very glad to hear that Michelle will be coming home. I think you know I was an EMT back in the mid 70's for three ambulance companies. Two were based in Orange County, Calif. and the other was in Los Angeles. I also became a driver for one. I still remember quite a number of Code 3 (emergency) calls I went on. Back then, our overhead light bar was red and yellow, had a large middle siren controlled by the horn and two small sirens controlled by an Emergency Panel turn knob. Also had a red spot on drivers side and a white spot on Attendant's side of Unit. Units were Cadillac's and vans for transport.

I still have a full First Aid Kit in our apartment, including a stethoscope. First Aid Kit in both boat and our vehicle.

I lived in Orange County from 1971 to 1983, except for a few years in Long Beach (LA County).

Glad to hear it sounds like nothing serious.

I knew there was lots of stuff that could emulate heart attack symptoms, but not that many.
