does any one know how to keep cats out of the dog pen?i have a boston bull/irish terrior mix we have him in a pen and the 2 cats keep going in their. the dog only goes out to do his business and comes back in again, we put orange peels arround but they jump above them and the dog goes after them,
Well, I just learned something new. From The Garden and Patio Guide website: I never heard of this before. Regarding Betty's issue...I would think that the dog should be sufficient repellent all on his own.
the problem is the cats belong to my son in law--the cats climb the fence we have up and the dog goes after them the dog is in a good sized pen -we have a lot of woods in back of the house their are fox back there and the main road is in front of the woods the dog is only three years old and he would run the orange peel did work but the cats jump over them it is a chicken wire fence
So it sounds like the cats are not afraid of the dog, huh? Are you concerned that the visiting cats are messing with the "This is my home" dog?
the dog was their first---then the cats came from where i dont know---they are outside cats--they are free to go if they want -i am allergic to cats
Orange Peels? Of course! They have always been my first choice for establishing territorial limitations! They work well for Tropical Fish and Owls, too. Blue-eyed Barbie says hello. Hal
Cats tend not to like citrus. Sometimes I will forget to wash my hands after eating an orange and my cats don't want my hands coming anywhere near them with the smell of citrus on them.
