I don't feed my cats junk, not even as treats, but that doesn't mean that my vigilance is always appreciated. I bought my cats a special treat - a packet of Evanger's Salmon treats. With one ingredient, salmon, I figured they'd love it. It cost $11 for a 4.6-oz bag so it wasn't some cheap toss-off treat for them. Neither Ella nor Bubba would eat it. Not a bit of it. I set it aside, thinking perhaps they'd want some later. They didn't, so I set it outside for the feral cats. They wouldn't touch it either. They ate all of the kibbles that I had left for them but left the Evanger's treats behind. The Evanger's went into the compost. I have bought Evanger's canned food for them before, and they like that well enough. Not this stuff, though. I guess I'll stick with the Blue Buffalo or Greenie's treats.
That's canned food, and not a treat though, although I suppose it can be given as a treat. Fancy Feast includes gluten, corn, soy, and by-products, and these are things I stay away from, so I'll stick with what's working.
I do that sometimes, but treats are something dry that I can set out on the floor for them, or on a counter.
